You can see our form over the last months has been bottom of the table stuff, we are in a completely false position due to the reasonable start to the season.

Not sure if a pair of juvenile full backs are going to turn his fortunes around to that extent, I’m sure you’ll agree.

With that knowledge we are more than likely to be bottom 3 within 6 games, no?

So Why the continued support for this man ?

Exactly I’m not going to relax when I see the same system, that is not working! Really think we will struggle against Norwich and the 2 Newcastle games if he carries on repeating something that doesn’t work.. these 3 games are massive for us, we need at least 6 points from them

How far away from 8th are we? The manager said that wouldn't be good enough so we need to be finishing higher than that for it to be a successful season in his eyes.

You conveniently ignore, again, that ancelotti took us over 18 games into a season when we had 19 points, were in 15th place and only 4 points out of the relegation zone.

He then spent zero money in the window. But immediately got us results and got 28 points from the remaining 20 games. Averaging 1.4ppg. (Benitez is on what, 1.1 after a pre season with the squad).

So criticise him for the 12th place, but you look like a fool for doing so.

There is no defending it anymore. Even his cult are just repeating that Moshiri won't sack him and then making out that it is inevitable that his replacement will do worse with nothing backing that up.

People defending him now either don't want to admit they got it massively wrong and have spent 6 months being pricks to their fellow blues backing a kopite ogre, or they genuinely don't understand footy.

But you saw the dramatic effect Dunc had on the team last time with his manic drum beating. The difference he got from the midfield who were dreadful is like night and day compared to these last few months .
That high energy style is unsustainable I agree but it may get us more points than we have been picking up .
I love the man too but let's be honest he's never going to lose his job as long as Saint Bill has a voice . He will always be remembered fondly whatever Fergie does . Hell , we've forgiven Rhino .

This squad is far better than what he has got out of them. Moaning about his transfer budget is a moot point in that discussion.

He wanted wingers to service DCL and he got them but then DCL gets injured.

I believe Carlo walked away because of the state of the club, the RM job was just the cherry on top for him.

No need, he's willingly admitted that he would gladly take 12th for Benitez right now. That's where they're at.

Go look back at the predictions people were making for Benitez before a ball was kicked. Nobody was saying that we would be doing this poorly.

Brands was working on a RB all summer so I don't know why suddenly Benitez is getting the credit for it. More desperation on display trying to give him credit for absolutely anything.

Carlo walked away for plenty of reasons. Lockdown in Liverpool, getting his house burgled, the squad being crap, no budget for the summer, better weather and team in Madrid. It would have been an easy decision to make.
