That's not before he was hired was it? And reading many of the posts, it's the same minority of posters praising then as now.

And to suggest there is a silent majority in the first place is disingenuous, because those that voted have had a voice. That's what their vote is.

I didn't vote, that's correct. Because I had death on ignore at the time so didn't see it. But to say I woke from the slumber is false. I was against benitez before he was hired and posted a lot. I then stopped posting about him and ignored the thread to allow him some time, he got off to a decent start results wise (not performance though) and then Watford did it for me and I came back in here. The poor performances (bar the 15 min spells in 2nd half) were always going to catch up to the results, and they inevitably did.

Not sure why some are so resolute in their backing of him when half a season in, there is still no uptick in results or performance.

I hope he turns it round as I want us to do well. But I didn't think he was the right man before he was hired and I certainly dont now based on his results with us.

Hmm... But some posters on here say the fans have never given benitez a chance. That suggests the fans were happy with him when he was winning and not happy when he was losing (you know, like with any manager).?

Doesn't really fit their narrative that the fans have been against him since day 1.
