I'd call December a warm up . The Brighton game was just everyone clearing their throat for the beautiful onslaught that will come if we don't beat Hull and Norwich comprehensively . With a flat back five and two in midfield I don't fancy his chances .

There's an awful lot you need to read between the lines of what he said, but the way I took it was (and there's nothing which says he's right) that Digne has taken issue with the way we play and how it affects his game, quoting his own performance stats to Benitez. Benitez has said he doesn't care about individual stats if the team is finishing midtable (something I'd snap your hand off for currently). Digne then says he doesn't want to play for the club anymore. Benitez freezes him out.
I sort of accept all of that from Benitez, but it does gloss over the fact that this change in tactics that Digne has complained about has us worse than last season.

Never mind the horrendous run of form , the dreadful tactics , the dour disappointing and football even the manager history . How anyone can watch that press conference and that that man is the appropriate holder of the office of manager of this club is completely and utterly beyond me .
