Gonna be fun reading this thread again if Everton does well moving forward and he leads the club out onto the new stadium on a European night. Of course if Everton doesn't do well and he is sacked then there's nothing more to see. The hatred deepens and he moves on to another club. Then commence the comparison and arguing if he remains in the Premier League.
The day he's sacked will be a glorious day .
And it will send a lot of his fan boys to another forum .

Rafael doesn't routinely generate rifts with players, that's utter bull.

Stop that

TBF if that happens I won’t be reading it, it will be Eiza Gonzalez reading it to me on my private Mediterranean island whilst I watch flocks of pigs flying south in their seasonal migration.

Doesn’t seemed to have done a thing though does it? The players look less arsed than before.
Which potentially highlights the fact most of them (as many fans have suggested for years) either aren’t good enough or are just stealing a wage from us

When pigs fly

Playing devils advocate here. (I’m still more so Rafael out then in!)

But, for years most fans have moaned how we are underachieving in relation to the money we’ve spent.

That the players have got away with murder.

The players are stealing a living.

The players aren’t good enough.

The players are coasting/ not arsed.

That we need someone to come in and clear all these types of players out, or at the very least remind them that our standards expected are far greater.

Then Rafael comes in, upsets players perhaps with some honesty about their performances/ efforts & what’s expected of them and now that’s not the approach we want anymore?!

I’m not excusing the managers underpermances either, but in terms of someone coming in and battering these players we’ve raged about, isn’t that what it looks like he’s doing and thst a lot of the fan base asked for?!
People want the team to do well and in the past they've thought (or just hoped maybe) that the approach you're talking about would help that happen but they aren't going to be happy when the approach doesn't seem to be working. It's honestly that simple. Going on about how you don't care about individual performances when the team can only finish 10th sounds a bit hollow when 10th currently seems like a pipe dream and 20th seems as likely if not more.
