Time to wind in the anti Benitez rhetoric. He hasn't covered himself in glory so far but what a pile of rubbish he had to deal with when he took over the team. Add to that the ridiculous and pointless DoF we had that produced eff all and just added to the garbage squad. We all know that surely. We have needed a reset for years so whoever got he job was up against it. Without DCL Siggy James Mina and Richy it has proven impossible.
Benitez now has basically has a limited transfer window and then 5/6 league games after the cup to save his and our skins. Lose them and he's rightly going to be on his bike and you will be vindicated. Not much time left for whoever then takes over if they have to - probably Ferguson - to keep us up. Slagging him off now is pointless. You may all be proved right but I hope not. Try and get behind the team for the most important 6 weeks in our recent history and hope he turns it around for all our sakes. It's a win win for the anti Rafael brigade. I'm sick to death of reading the bile that is spouted by fellow Evertonians on this site.

Was thinking the same thing, it is win/win scenario now, if the team do well, great. Lose a few more and he is gone. I try not to get worked up about anything Everton related as it's just not worth the high blood pressure.

If he sees out the window and gets us some more 'Everton' type players that would be good. I think on that side he could be called a success. The actual stuff on the pitch is anything but.

Its sad seeing usually semi respectable posters like Jakey, Windy etc attacking fellow Blues for not partaking in the abuse of everything from the manager to the owner.

He's here until minimum next Xmas - got to suck it up and get behind the club and hope the new signings can turn things around.

Brands was a disaster. Maybe a DoF was not going to work for us with a high volume turnover of managers - but that fella has to shoulder some blame.

In theory it should work, regardless of how many managers you go through the model is supposed to keep some continuity regardless of coach, problem is we don’t use the role properly and let the dof do their job and make the decisions

No, I'm not demanding european football. I'm demanding improvement. Though I do find it funny how you can argue from one side of your mouth that it's unrealistic to demand european footy from this team and then attempt to slate me for not doing exactly that.... Muppet

We went from 12th to 10th with Ancelotti. That was improvement.

We are sitting tied for 16th now, that is not improvement.

If we sacked Benitez and hired Lampard and went from 16th to 11th then that's an improvement on Benitez....

The rest of us with a bit of sense want him sacked for this unnacceptable run of form but then there's arse lickers who want to come and have a go at us because we think the club should take action with this unnacceptable form.
