Thought shearer summed up our pathetic "press" well at half time, Williams also spoke the truth. Rafael claims he is a coach first and a manger second. Yet to see any evidence of coaching, just a regression in all aspects of the game. Zonal marking needs binning and binning soon. It's truly awful. Allerdyce esq. How those in charge of this famous club have backed this absolute relic of the game is utterly beyond me.

It'll take Benitez 3 windows to get on top of this.

The first one in the summer was measly finance wise, but high in value.

This window is ongoing but looks healthy in terms of youth and attacking intent from the back (though my reservations in this respect are well documented)

The summer window we'll need to see a lot more players encouraged to get out and a big sale (Richarlison probably). A few more will be added.

Basically, come the start of the new season we'll see a transformed first team from the one inherited by Benitez in June of last year...and it cant come quick enough.

You cant get shut of the tat overnight and replace them. Patience is required.

Not really. In my eyes the continued selection of Keane and Coleman is one of the most damaging things affecting performances on the pitch at the moment. Apart from a few people though no one seems that arsed about this away from the match threads and in fact Keane still regularly gets called our best centre back.

We have no problem scoring goals, yet concede them for fun, and everyone is banging on about bloody Rondon and why he isn’t playing Simms or Dobbin. It’s just completely missing the mark.
What's completely missing the mark is the way he sets up his defence, on one free kick tonight they were lined up so deep they were almost standing on the keeper's feet!

They might be awful but it’s much more than just two players, we have absolutely no control on games, we leave gaps all over the pitch because of the way he sets us up which gives the opposition all the space they need to take us apart, we don’t play with any sort of intensity or intent from the off, we’ve gone from having one of the best set piece defensive records last year to the worst this year and he still refuses to remedy it.

And for the love of god rondon gets brought up a lot because he really is that crap, I’d sooner have a 20kg bag of ready mix mortar up top before this waster

I remember when Everton struggled to win a single away game and never came behind from going down. It was 12 months at one point wasn’t it without winning an away game?

For all the negativity this season it’s been one of the few were going a goal down doesn’t immediately mean the game is over.

It was absolutely shocking how bad we were in the first 20 minutes.

Every game, game in, game out. Down a goal at 4' against Brighton at home, down a goal at 1' today against a Championship side.

Defenders don't get themselves where they're supposed to be, either they don't know or aren't that enthused about it.

All on him.

Coleman didnt have a clue what he was supposed to be doing today in the 3 man centre back thingy. He didnt know if he came out to challenge. Go with a runner. Cover over to the right. In the end he did neither. He just tried to react chasing back once they'd exposed the awful set up.
It was real cringe stuff.

To be fair mate, you were as bad when Carlo was here.
No mate. Not at all. I lost faith in Ancelotti in about March last year. Before that I was pro Ancelotti.

I'll take no lectures on backing a manager from you or anyone else. I even backed that divvy Koeman for his first season.

1 win and 8 losses in 12 league games. Seems like it pretty much means that…
