Not really. In my eyes the continued selection of Keane and Coleman is one of the most damaging things affecting performances on the pitch at the moment. Apart from a few people though no one seems that arsed about this away from the match threads and in fact Keane still regularly gets called our best centre back.

We have no problem scoring goals, yet concede them for fun, and everyone is banging on about bloody Rondon and why he isn’t playing Simms or Dobbin. It’s just completely missing the mark.

It was absolutely shocking how bad we were in the first 20 minutes.

Every game, game in, game out. Down a goal at 4' against Brighton at home, down a goal at 1' today against a Championship side.

Defenders don't get themselves where they're supposed to be, either they don't know or aren't that enthused about it.

What really scares me with him was very evident today. He's not a rookie manager. He's very experienced. Yet his 5 man defence system today was being picked off and exposed with one run and one pass by Hull City. In the whole grand scheme of things with relegation etc we're 2 or 3 nil down against not Hull City.
For an experienced manager he actualy comes across as a bit of an idiot.

I made a joke post about wanting him back earlier, but I honestly think Sam was a better manager here.

Allardyce came in to clean up Koemans mess, and took us to 8th place. Benitez is by far the worst manager in our modern history. Even worse than Mike Walker in my opinion.

Got his result which is what matters tonight. But in all honesty we set up wrong the fact that he comes out in the presser and says his teams like to press high, play with aggression and intensity and on the front foot is complete lies. And to treat the everton fan base like a bunch of muppets by expecting us to fall for these lies is shameful.
We sat back in the second half against a piss poor team from the championship and invited them to equalise. We got lucky with the winner and a fantastic save from our keeper. Benitez got lucky and its doubtful the luck will roll over into tuesday. Leicester will laugh at the intensity of our play.

Try something once that looks odd, ok fine. It doesn't come off, whatever.

Go back and do it 6, 7, 8 times, it doesn't get any better, you keep dropping points, then you've got some kind of, I don't know I'm not a professional, but some kind of oppositional disorder where you intentionally do the wrong thing so as to be waving your glans at the world, or something.

He doesn't know what to do with a team who does not already have top quality players. His biggest successes have been putting the finishes touches to teams who are already close to their goals.

He was always incredibly unsuited to this role.

Been talked about loads I imagine but today was just the most glaring example. We have a fundamental mentality issue with starting games. We haven't scored the first goal in a game since October - utterly embarrassing. Literally any team can take the game to us, because we allow it.

This sluggish, passive attitude has engulfed the club recently and immediately has us chasing games, and needing to react to situations instead of dictating anything. It pre dates Benitez without doubt but until it gets sorted out we are going nowhere.
