….it’s a fair point. As @roydo says, lots of it is down to ease of posting (I still tend to use full surname). Saying that, I rarely hear Evertonians talking in the pub using those terms.

I remember Dave Prentice bringing this up at an Echo editorial meeting, the paper strategically referring to R A FA, Carra, Stevie G etc whilst pieces on us were referenced with Cahill, Arteta, Moyes etc. It’s what they do, I prefer not to.

The frustration of Saturday was that in the 2nd half, we didn’t play great or do anything special, we just played with intensity and swamped Southampton with our direct play.

Frustrating in that had we done this just once in all those limp Goodson defeats last year, we’d be in Europe now.

All true. The reality is, hes not really a Kopite either. He has some fond memories of managing there, and I imagine some frustrations of how he was hounded out, and he likes living nearby the City.

I'm not bothered about him being an Evertonian, what bothers me is whether he is wins games.

Unbelievably frustrating. Suspect we might go back to something more like our old form under Benitez. Beat the dross at home but come up short against the better sides. Same net result most likely in terms of league position.

I think it's fair to say that the naysayers (i.e. ex 'Team Vitors', 'Ancelotties', 'Moysiahs, etc ) might be feeling a little less secure in their footballingly ideological sinecure.

I am thinking our great GOT colleague @ForeverBlue92 (who has his finger prints (and palms) all over the 'Fit Birds' Thread), is ahead of the curve of many on here.
