People arnt afraid of hinduism or sikhism or buddhism.

Islam is very different.

Why is that?

People feared being 'swamped' by Ugandan Asians in the 1970s. Why are people fearful of Islam ? Odd really. What bit are people fearful of that may keep them awake at night? Islam means nothing to me personally and like all religions or branches of religion they have manuscripts or a book that guides them. So what. What is there to fear?

9/11 7/7 Lee Rigby Oxford Derby and wherever else they have found all muslim paedophile gangs, major mosques preaching hate and intolerance, areas of Luton Bradford London Leeds Bolton Blackburn Manchester Leicester and Birmingham where it wouldn't be wise to walk around bein' all western in 'their' areas, sharia law courts (about 30 already in place, shocking treatment of women especially). How is this relevant to what we're talking about. They both shouldn't be allowed. But oin the whole Islam is much more of an issue than Judaism so that's what we're talking about. I HATE the 'well what about this, what about that' argument. It means nothing. Address the issues Im talking about, and there wouldn't be a problem with Islam. The British government have been protecting 'radical' Imams in Britain since the 1980s so they could recruit for the Mujahaddeen in Afghanistan to fight the Soviets. Bin Laden was 'radicalised' with the help of the British army so as to fight the Soviets. The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood have been used by the British to put down Arab nationalism in Egypt in the 1930s to 1950s. And were encouraged by Britain to 'wage terror' against the Nasser government.

Many Mujahadeen were brought over to 'secret' training camps in Scotland and the Lakes in the 1980s.

Unfortunately for the British government sometimes the hand that feeds it has been bitten. 'Radical' Imams regularly recruits for 'Jihads' and are actively recruiting for Syria, like they did for Libya. Right under the nose of the police.

Sometimes a little knowledge makes you 'arsed' about why things happen.

It is entirely relevant as you were objecting to sharia courts, as the linked article detailed, the Beth Din courts appear to have an issue with poor treatment of women which was one of the objections you made to sharia courts.

To tackle the radicalisation of young Muslim men, we need to look at the broader picture. It's not purely down to religion, many of those who are radicalised are from similar backgrounds as those who form the EDL. Working-class people from deprived areas affected by the de-industrialisation of Britain. Radicalisation is not a religious issue, it's a class issue.

Oh my god. Do you really believe that you couldn't walk around places like Birmingham and Leicester being 'all western'? The same was said about Toxteth, Brixton, Ladbrooke Grove et.. Seems like history is repeating itself as a farce.

By 'tolerate' I assume you mean that successive governments since the 1930s have used 'radical' Islamists for their foreign policy aims.

Shows how little you know. I'm not pro EDL or against them, but what I would do is research and not just let the media dictate what you think of them. TR actually speaks very well, look at his interview after Woolwich, its the people that follow him and attach themselves to something which should be positive to air their racist views which ruin it for everyone and stop radical islam being addressed. I've met TR a couple of times out and about, not a bad guy by all accounts although definatly no angel, and Ive seen him with my own eyes meeting with an imam over a coffee. The EDL has none white and none Christian followers too. Again, how they go about demonstrating is another issue although I would raise that it's people that try to attack them that kicks it all off rather than the other way around.
