Intergrating doesn't mean everybody else has to bend over backwards and change thier ways to accomodate them. If your not arse*d by things like this being imposed on you thats fair enough, but again don't try and impose your'not arsed' belief on me cos i don't want to be served Halal meat if i haven't asked for it.

Some of you will just stick up for islam because you feel its the right thing to do. It really isn't. Islam needs to reform before it stands a chance of intergrating in our society. Too many things don't fit both with our belief system and there's.

If you don't want to eat it, don't then. You are given fair warning, more often than not. I'm not trying to impose my unarsed belief upon you, I just don't understand the objection, is all. I'm not trying to make you eat halal if you don't want to nor would I want to make you if you objected as strongly as you do, but these sort of things will inevitably upset some people because they feel they are bing overlooked.

But school kids are no longer been given the choice? You don't even know what you're arguing for mate, but people will still be on your side. Blind defence of islam.

Nik, I can't be 100%, but I'm pretty sure I know more muslims than you, plus their views- and I don't think I've made myself look silly. I took a cheap shot at you granted- I apologise. But, everyone knows your views, and you can't help yourself everytime. Like a daily mail wet dream...

But their ideology is fundamentaly against ours. I treat muslims like liverpool fans. I'd be mates with them (providing they're not looneys) and have them round for tea, but I don't agree with their view points.

I think maybe if there is halal pork on in a canteen, a humanely killed option is usually available isn't there? I don't pretend to know school canteens particularly well, I level with you, but is that not how it works?

I probably shouldn't wade in like this without reading the whole thread but there's no way in hell I'd want to eat Halal meat. It's inhumane in my eyes but it's part of the Muslim religion so I have no problem with them eating it.

If they required it I'd go out and get some for them and make it for them. I wouldn't eat it myself and I wouldn't make everyone else in the room eat it though.

Nik, you're talking like they're a different species or something. Their ideology.. our ideology.. like you are a spokesperson for a nation. Countries change as do the ideology of the people to some respect, but I don't for a second believe that Britain will ever be under Sharia law.
