Vickery has been asked his opinion and given it. He is very knowledgable indeed over those leagues so it carries weight. It could be wrong or right but only time will tell. Is it a worry? Of course but it's ultimately futile as there's no guaranteed formula for making it in the Premier League, so don't sweat it as Vickery hasn't done it maliciously.

In all fairness it has seemed a bit more than that , although presenting it in a faux slightly self-deprecating way he's absolutely put the boot into Martinez & the player at every given opportunity . At least twice on talksport and again on radio 5 that's to my knowledge and I certainly get the impression that's not been the end of it.
It doesn't feel like an unbiased , honest and casual opinion it really does seem rooted in something . As you say he might be right but if he is I think his smugometer might explode trying to measure the fella's levels of self congratulatory smarm.

to be honest i kind of want Martinez to go on a show with him sometime, i think he'd probably make a show of Vickery.
