He had a dodgy spell for a while which was only to be expected given that he had moved abroad and was playing in a tougher league. He seems to have come through that and is steadily improving. Still prone to the odd mistake but think he'll be a lot stronger next season.

He's about the only defender who actually attacks the ball in the air. With regard to the opposition's box he's definitely got a touch of the Derek Mountfields about him.

He's about the only defender who actually attacks the ball in the air. With regard to the opposition's box he's definitely got a touch of the Derek Mountfields about him.

I was thinking this as well. It's nice to finally see someone attack the ball and get a few goals. We've had too many players who don't score in the side over the years.

He's got work to do defensively but that was expected given he's come to a new league etc. They can hopefully teach him that.

A case of mistaken identity on your part Joey...Robles played in the League Cup so that Howard could be rested. Haven't you noticed? Many well managed clubs give their second string keeper a run in the League and/or the FA Cup games. Managers look upon the early rounds of these competitions as an opportunity to give competitive match time to squad members...there are no 'reserve' games any more.

My opinion is striking drawing to many games last two games A second player played as you define it we won both games RM is not a divine God of football management you know!

Yes but he played left back and is right footed, and can also play central defence - player of the month in November = dropped!

You've lost the plot, mate. Baines is light years ahead of Galloway who was definitely not in form when Shaqiri made a show of him.

And he's the most left-footed player of all time. He's the epitome of one footed. No idea why you'd play him at right back or think he was right footed.

Ooh any player who walks into the team unless they perform consistently well , and are not reselected on reputation in the case of Mori he has been a breath of fresh air, do you think he deserved to be dropped, why alter a defence that at City kept a clean sheet?

I repeat...he wasn't dropped...he was rested. See my posting above.Its not a debate if you just post stuff without reading what other posters say in reply!! Its a squad game !!!
