Oviedo is a great player and offers more going forward than Galloway if he can stay fit, and he's more experienced. If we'd drawn and played Galloway over Oviedo a lot of people would have criticised him for playing a relatively inexperienced player.

I can't believe you're having a go at a manager for playing Baines or Oviedo over Galloway. There's a lot of things that are fair to have a pop at him for, that ain't one of them though.

Mori wasn't 'dropped'...he was rested, like Geri. He's new to this League, the most high pressure league in the world, and has done brilliantly. Its a squad game !!. Martinez knows this, and so to supporters without an anti Martinez agenda. Howard had been MOTM at City, is the senior keeper, and therefore kept his place. Apart from the mix up with Jagielka, which was partly due to clever play by Costa, he did not do much wrong and made good saves from Willian etc.

Howards been gash for 2 years having only 4 or 5 good games in all that time and has never been dropped. If we sign byram we'll see against swansea if Mori was rested or if he starts which he deserves but i can see him sticking with his favourites like he has a tendency to do

He dropped him for one of the best left backs in the world just as Galloway was starting to struggle after he got the back tore out of him against Stoke.

Unfortunately he clearly mustn't think or be getting told by his goalkeeping coaching staff that the alternative is better. It's clearly only a matter of time though, Howard's card is marked.

Maybe a stupid idea but how about playing Fumes Mori as a defensive midfielder against Man City in the cup, he may suit the role.
