he will make errors, but although this long run of games probably wasn't planned, in the long run it will do him a huge amount of benefit
Not his best night but no absolute howlers. Bar the second overhead righty he missed in two games
Mori and Coleman looked iffy tonight to be fair, but Mori did some good things , but gave the ball away a bit easy, but we kept a clean sheet minus Tim!

I thought he was fantastic at times in the second half, bar a shaky moment or two. All told I'm not worried at all when I see him on the teamsheet.
Funes Mori is subject to a brain fart now and again, despite the good defending in between. Be interesting to see if that can be smoothed out of his game. I like him and especially the aerial presence which the rest of our back four lack.
I like him. Tough and fast and decent on the ball.
However lets hope he wont be a new Distin with generally very good performances clouded by fairly regular howlers!
I hope the next overhead he tries is up front and goes in!

Better than stones
I say it every time that I really like Mori, and think he's great.
But I also state that he is really sloppy at times, and that's true. He was by no means bad tonight, but he made more mistakes than, for example, Stones did against Swansea. But he won't get anywhere near the level of criticism.
Now, I don't want to see him get that criticism, just asking people to not be so quick to jump the gun on Stones as well.

Mori's a good player and I like him, but he really isn't. He played well tonight but made some awful mistakes. Stones gets hammered for those. Mori doesn't.

If we aren't conceding as many with stones out the side then he has to stay out. Simple.
Without diverting this into a conversation about Stones, I think the difference is that Funes Mori's mistakes come when he is trying to defend, which is what his purpose in the team is.
