Even though its early on, he is a leader on the pitch . when you see the fees city paid for mangala and otemendi he is an absolute bargain .And for me first choice in the centre .Hope there are plans for us to play river plate in a friendly someday
 
Really wanted Stones to stay another year at least but to be honest with Funes Mori there let's get as much as we can and go all out to get Butland.

Really like this guy and have done since coming on against Chelsea, 2-1 up could have been dangerous for a debutant centre back but did not look out of place from the second he came on. Has gone on from strength to strength, attacks balls (attacking and defensively), reads the game well & is not too shabby on the ball.

Mori is a left sided centre back and Stones is right sided.

Also Stones out was the same time as Howard out which is more likely to be the weak link not stones.

As for Butland hes my ideal summer signing and then some....but Stoke will do all they can to keep him. Failing that theres a few other top keepers available but no correlation to selling Stones.

Sell stones and you need 2 centre backs as jags is 34/35 soon....need to keep stones and buy a top keeper.

I agree, I suppose my point is that we have Funes Mori so I won't cry if Stones is sold and if we need the money to go all out for a top level keeper then it it will be Stones money that will have the least effect on the team in general.

We have about £50mil extra tv revenues.

We need a keeper, right back,centre mid and centre forward out of that cash and have:

Howard
Hibbert
Gibson
osman
pienaar
mcgeady
mcaleny
mirallas

who may(?) all be moved on to free up wages and money.

Making those 4 signings will give us 2 players at least for each position.

No need to sell anyone we want to keep.

Mori and Stones could be our future....

that list is all well and good , but at the end of the season what happens if our top players go???
