Think he's had a good start here. Seems comfortable on the ball and gives us an aerial threat we've lacked on set pieces. Wouldn't mind if he stopped trying those overhead clearances, though. He's duffed a couple.

Mori is a left sided centre back and Stones is right sided.

Also Stones out was the same time as Howard out which is more likely to be the weak link not stones.

As for Butland hes my ideal summer signing and then some....but Stoke will do all they can to keep him. Failing that theres a few other top keepers available but no correlation to selling Stones.

Sell stones and you need 2 centre backs as jags is 34/35 soon....need to keep stones and buy a top keeper.

Joel looks like he has the number 1 shirt now until the end of the season, so we should have a clearer idea if he's got what it takes to be a long term number 1.

I'm looking forward to seeing how he fares over the course of the next 15 games ( basing that on us getting to Wembley of course

Joel has got his chance now and he's taking it with both hands - but Butland is definitely the better keeper. Irrelevant as he won't be coming here anyway///

But... Joel at the moment looks more than capable of being our first choice in the long-term. For me, we see how this season goes, and then in the summer we decide whether we need to go out and get a definite first choice keeper, or somebody who can be an experienced (but decent) back up (presuming Howard does leave).

To be honest i think i am more worried about losing him then Stones right now. I think i have accepted Stones is going anyway so it is something we have started to deal with and look forward from, besides his form has been poor anyway even thou we know he will do better. But if we lose Mori as well we have a big problem, as we will really need three center backs to come in with Jags getting on a bit, we really can't afford to lose Mori.

He looks a cracking keeper, but totally agree, hes massively overrated, when you see people saying we should bid 20m+ you know theres something wrong.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're keeping an eye on Mori to see how he progresses - apparently they were scouting him in Argentina and 'rediscovered' him when watching Deulofeu play this season. He's also Spanish speaking, young and can play a bit as well as defend. Realistically though they're unlikely to want to splash out on a defender with only one season in Europe that isn't considered amongst the elite in his position.
