I, along with millions of others, where ecstatic when he belted in that FA Cup Final goal.

Exemplifies my point really. If their form falters, they're heavily criticised - it's amazing how quickly fans forget the 15 goals he scored for us last season.

He scored twice last season at home against Chelsea to win the match and he scored away too.

The fickleness around some this season has been shocking.

Oh wait there's one more....DIVING!!

It's the single biggest thing that hold the sport back in America. Americans look at guys like Ronaldo and think "another gay [Poor language removed] soccer player".

Yet your six foot plus, 17 stone American footballers still wear all that protection in a game that seems to stop every 20 seconds.

How about his performances ever since he signed the new contract in March? Us fans, effectively, are paying his wages, so I have a right to moan when he doesn't even try.

The fact that Liverpool have £80 million to spend in the January transfer window, having previously been in massive debt through overspending. Pure financial doping. Meanwhile we can't raise £3M for Kranjcar.

1. 'Sky 4' team's players surrounding and intimidating referees

2. err, yer no, post match, err, interviews, yer no, with, err, yer no, inarticulate players. What's the point? They never say anything meaningful or insightful.

3. Players wages. No-one is worth a salary of £200,000 a WEEK. That is like winning the lottery every month. Most premiership players could retire after six months and live very comfortably for the rest of their lives. It has made far too many spoilt, arrogant young men that are so detached from reality. I hear what your saying Danny, but wages for the so called 'top' players are obscene, and the old pros from the pre 80's playing days must be 'sick as parrots'.

HIGHLY doubt that.

Me too but read this from Eurosport:

Premier League - Papers: Liverpool go French

A foreign legion of stars from across the Channel are set for Liverpool as Damien Comolli plans a French revolution at Anfield.

The Reds' new director of football strategy has targeted no fewer than four of our Gallic brethren to turn around the club's fortunes in what promises to be a huge shopping spree this January and next summer.
Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila, Marseille striker Loic Remy, Lille centre-back Adil Rami and St Etienne attacking midfielder Dimitri Payet have all attracted Comolli's attentions. All played for France against England at Wembley last month and all are under the age of 25.
And with the super-talented Belgian international Eden Hazard of Lille and Borussia Dortmund's Serbian central defender Neven Subotic also identified on the hit list, Liverpool's spending could top £80 million - an immediate test of new owner John Henry's commitment to the club. (Sunday People)

Across Stanley Park, Everton have run into difficulties over their pursuit of Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar, with the Croatian refusing to move to Goodison Park on loan.
But with the £3m price tag slapped on his head too high, the debt-addled Toffees will have to turn their focus elsewhere. (Mail on Sunday)

How do you know?

Rugby is a collision sport.

Rugby is a tough sport.. still can't compare the two though..

If Rugby players through their bodies into tackles like NFL players they wouldn't last long.. couple games maybe.
