RB Leipzig

RBL Matchday

Yuck, first leg of the Round of 16 CL tie vs Man City and despite them having a few key players out their XI is still insane and I really think this is going to be a big struggle. There are two changes from the Wolfsburg win with Halste in for Raum and Laimer in for Haidara; Nkunku is on the bench despite reportedly having a slight setback from his return at the weekend so I'm guessing he won't be used here unless the game looks winnable towards the end. I'd just like to keep the scoreline down here and try go into the return leg with the tie still in the balance.

Game is LIVE from 20.00pm on BT Sport 1

I just like the Red Bull model. Buy young exciting talents, trust them, watch them grow. Plus German football in general is belting to follow.
Interesting if you put it like that.
Since we Germans aren't used to big financial takeovers (yet) they've been the most hated club (second only maybe to Bayern) in the country.
Bur as you say, their model is very interesting and if one can get over the aversion to all the RB symbolism and the sense of artifice about the club it really is interesting to follow. Thanks for answering and giving me a new perspective

I understand all the hatred of course, don’t get involved with it personally as a foreigner. Thing is the 50+1 will eventually go away, (Bayern legends want it gone) and you’ll eventually see more of these money pumped clubs. Already had Hoffenheim before this.

Playing like the away team at home and the inevitable happens!
Dissapointing from Leipzig, stood off them and looked a beaten team from the off!

Yeah, I think Hoffenheim hasn't been as contentious in the past few years because everyone realized they weren't really a title threat and they are not as in-your-face with it. I think you are right, it will change. One can also see it with Hertha who got a lot of cash from a shady investor and did f all with it...
Maybe it would even improve the quality of competition. That's what's so great about the Prem. You never really know who's gonna win it in the end. We can only dream of this at this point.

Yeh I mean the title race normally is boring as anything but this season is fun. Union have shown money isn’t always required though! Even funnier with how utterly crap Hertha are with their cash. One of the worst top fight sides in years.

The team are a level below. Think they know it as well sadly. Just a shame fully fit Nkunku isn’t a thing as he’d keep them busy.
Yeah was looking forward to seeing Nkunku against them tonight as well!

Need to change their approach here pronto, they're a far better team than this! Pretty sure City will be surprised how easy it's been in that first half.

Expect to see them having a go in second half.
