RB Leipzig

Looks like Timo is temporarily on his way out. His game time had been reduced to almost zero lately because my God he was bad when he came on. He’s got the largest salary at the club too. Hopefully the loan works out and they buy him. Will RB go in for a new 4th striker? Doubtful but we shall see.

RBL Transfer News

So Timo is on his way out to spurs on a 6-month loan with an option to buy of around €17/18m. Spurs will also cover his full wages till then (€5m). Had confirmation that no replacement will be brought in this window.

Ilaix Moriba has also gone out on loan to Getafe for 6 months but weirdly no option to purchase.

Club have also signed some young Croatian wonder kid striker first linked in the Summer called Dino Klapija. Kid will stay at his club till the summer then either join the U19’s or go out on loan.

One more the old guard signs on with Klostermann extending his deal today till 2028. Was a free agent in the Summer and pretty surprised he didn't just leave as he's no longer first choice. Decent player to cover all the defensive positions.

RBL Matchday

We're back! I quite like having a little Winter breather but also bored at weekends without the boys when Everton are being wank. It's time for the (almost) second half of the season to begin with a home tie against my second favourite German side in Eintracht Frankfurt. 4th vs 6th in what's been quite a fruitful affair of late for Leipzig. The squad managed, for once, to stay unscathed over the break and even managed to get a couple of the long-term injured players back in Olmo and Bitshiabu who both make the bench alongside new signing Elmas. U19 player Yannick Eduardo also makes the bench for the first time and it's great to see an academy player make the matchday squad. Frankfurt immediately bring in new signing Kalajdzic up front in place of AFCON leaver Marmoush as well as ex-Everton Van de Beek (they also have ex-Everton Nkounkou starting).

Not sure on the result but think there'll be a lot of goals.

Game is LIVE from 14.30pm

RBL Matchday

1st vs 4th tonight with a home game vs league leaders Leverkusen. The flip fixture, first game of the season, was an absolute banger and I'm expecting the same again tonight - hopefully with a different result though. RBL were extremely profligate against Frankfurt but won't get as many chances tonight so really can't pass them up. I thought Rose might have been tempted by a back 3 tonight but stuck with the usual with Olmo returning to the starting XI and Seiwald & Lukeba replacing Kampl and Henrichs respectively.

Promise it'll be a better watch than Brentford vs Forest.

Game is LIVE from 17.30pm on Sky Sports Football.

Bayer's current form is ridiculous, so best of luck!
