RB Leipzig

RBL Matchday

Well it's 3 defeats on the spin so clearly I'm just an unlucky charm at this point but here goes nothing for the away trip to 4th placed Stuttgart. Title aspirations are 100% dead in the water now even with an exceptional second half of the season but the fight for CL places is still tight with Dortmund, Frankfurt and today's opponents. The performances against Frankfurt and Leverkusen were both really good but in only half an aspect: strong defense, poor attack in the former, strong offence, poor defence in the latter. Outside of Xavi (suspension) who is a massive loss the squad is fully fit and there's also a bench spot for big Willi! He's been sorely missed in the middle. Stuttgart are without Guirassy for this one (AFCON) but still have goals in the side so can't be underestimated. Cautiously optimistic on the result if they can mesh offence and defence for once.

Game is LIVE from 14.30pm

Also just a few of slight wider news updates:

- Eberl to Bayern happening now which will pocket €4-5m
- Angelino's loan + option being swapped from Gala to Roma since the Turks were being very Turkish about it.
- Two unnamed U19 players sacked by the club this week for racism which was brought up in the dressing room by other players.

RBL Matchday

Cursed fan back again hoping this game might be the end of the horrendous start to the Rückrunde but not really got a positive feeling this days going into games. There hasn't really been the same March/Tedesco levels of sacking chatter so far but I think maybe even just a draw here and it begins - certainly after a defeat. I don't think swapping managers is the answer anyway though and it's just the defenders being more alert and people taking their chances. He's rolled the dice anyhow by swapping in Gulacsi and the returning Orban who's been a HUGE miss in defence but still, strangely, persisting with Klostermann who has been poor. Xavi also returns after suspension. Union are having a torrid season themselves but won last time out so it will be tough.

Game is LIVE from 16.30pm
