Questions for folks on here - any chance there's going to be a part of town where people will be hanging out a la Lille? Also, any word on bar/bars, etc.?
 
anyone want to take a gamble on warsaw? room's are getting expensive. thinking of booking a room now,4 person 2 nights can cancel 48 hrs prior, worth it can cancel if we get knocked out.

I think we'll be hanging on the swiss fella's word here, he's said he's gonna do a write up.

Swiss Police have pre warned travelling Everton fans that there is a zero tolerance policy to drunkenness at games on Swiss soils. Been Police haven't confirmed yet but are considering breathalyzing tests on the perimeter of the stadium on the Everton fans.

They done this a couple of years ago against a German team and caused murder. Hundreds were not allowed in and no refunds on ticket either. Bars in town closed down two hours before the game so nowhere to watch it either.

Where is this warning ? Do you have a link ? IF true, what would be the limit ? Swiss drink driving limit is 0.5 so one pint just before the match and you don't get in ? Would be good if Naughtyoungboy could advise on this before people are put off enjoying themselves based on rumour.
 
So are you suggesting that of say 20,000 people attending only the 3,000 British nationals will be singled out to be breathalized, that would be a blatantly racist action. The sheer logistics of trying to breathalize 3,000 people would suggest that the club should issue a warning to supporters to arrive at least three hours before kick off or are you suggesting that only those displaying outward signs of drunkennes (staggering, rowdy behaviour, urinating, carrying cans) will be breathalized.

been told aldo and bainsys dad are liasing with swiss police on this one,apparently the want aldo to the breathelysing tests at the turnstiles.

i have never heard of a non drinking policy like this. it is true that the stadium security will not let you in if you're shitfaced (just like everywhere else in the world).

it is also not possible to close bars just because you guys are in town. bern will be full of drunk people for it is the start of the carnival (sounds better than it actually is).

is there a person responsible for supporters interests? maybe this person should contact the bern police and inform them where you guys meet in town.

my advise: enjoy yourselfes and behave like normal drunk football fans.
