Two things put me off the Nexus, one the naff camera and secondly that you can't remove the battery so you can't keep a spare battery on you if needed.

I would have so guessed that was your phone. You're unbelievable.

You can remove the battery!! As for the camera the quality isnt actually that bad, megapixels arent everything! It takes photos so fast so you can take alot if you want to without annoyingly waiting for it to actually take a picture

I just bought an HTC Trohy.. I like it.. Was impossible for me to figure out how to get a damn ringtone on it though.

Cheers for the advice lads.

I've had a bit of a search round looking at some of the phones coming out soon and I like the look of the HTC One X and the Galaxy S3. I can get the One X on my contract free when it comes out, I think on 5th April, I don't know about the availability of the S3 and when exactly that comes out, but I'm inclined to think that it might just edge the One X overall. The S2 is rated very highly by everyone, but I'd have to keep it for 18 months and I'd like something newer.

I'm also intrigued by the Nokia Lumia 900. I used to have HTC with Windows 7 until I broke it a couple of months ago, it was quite good and the user interface was simple and easy, but maybe a bit too simple to use, it didn't seem to have much depth to it and decent apps were scarce.

Why are you using VLC? That would be your problem. VLC was a one off port, it's not been supported at all on the iPad and was almost immediately pulled

Try using AV Player, it's multi core aware and it will play HD films. Mind you there's no point trying to play anything above 720 because that's the limit of the screen resolution

Just got round to this, Cheers.

It looks like the Samsung Galaxy S3 isn't going to be out until July or maybe even later, I'd love to get that as it looks to be the best phone coming out this year, along with the iPhone 5. The HTC One X is out in the first week of April so I think I'll get that, it looks ace even though the S3 will probably blow it out the water, but I don't think I can wait until the summer using this old Blackberry of mine.

Any date for iPhone 5 chaps?

I've got no idea on an exact date but I've asked around a few phone shops about the S3 in and they seem to think the iPhone and S3 will be released about the same time (summer/early autumn). I think the S3 might be the better one, 2GB of RAM and 1080p screen and recording sounds boss.
