Great people Chico, I'd like to go back some day.
Went to Mallorca last year and spent a fair bit of time away from the main resorts, visited Valldamosa and Soller. Both beautiful places with a real laid back vibe.
Haha going to the very same place beginning of Oct, hope it's as good as it looks not been Mexico before

worth the effort i.e. Flight to Bangkok or Samui, Ferry, Taxi, Longtail
2 months there was absolute bliss ... ok I left for 3 days to go to samui for the Spurs Semi.
I'd spend another 2 there without a second thought
the only pool then was the sea btw & they were all the basic huts for 90p a night

Went to Cancun Mexico last 2 weeks in March had a fabulous holiday all inclusive with Tommy Cook.
Golden Parnassus right on the beach adult only,the staff there really went out of their way to cater for everything you asked for.
Bus into downtown Cancun literally every few minutes and picked you up anywhere besides the bus stops. Going there again.

The Yucatan Penninsula is great because it suits a huge range of tastes from Spring break parties thorough quiet family beach lounging to exploring ancient monuments.
Many different types of accomodation as well - all inclusives, boutique hotels plus lots of villa rentals.

Good shout Joey ...Aberdaron,Whistling Sands and best of all in the day , a long time ago,Abersoch Beach at the Warren ...Hitched Hiked there back in the late 60,s 10 lifts from the Mersey Tunnel.Easy holiday cottage on the Llyn pininusula on the Aberdarron side beautiful beaches great pubs etc!

A friend of mine went last year but was a bit disappointed that he was advised not to wander too far away from the hotel complex they were in.
It still as beautiful as ever great fishing there too, you can stand in the sea water up to your chin and still see your feet !
Look up Porth Iago stayed in a holiday cottage there for over ten years when my kids were young caught 80 fish in a week spinning of the rocks in the next cove along never fished in my life but freshly caught Mackeral for breakfast the good old days!
