Referees v Everton

I notice that my posting this video clip has angered a couple of people. I would like to point out that my intention was to ridicule the allegations that Anthony Gordon is somehow cheating by allowing himself to be hacked to the ground with depressing regularity. I'm a fan of the young man and have never criticised him on here or anywhere else.
Not angry with you mate, I’m disgusted with the challenge and the lack of appropriate action. Totally agree with you, he’s gonna get a bad injury soon the way he’s getting hit without any protection from the officials.

Yes Attwell, can confirm that is a balllollollol

When crap like that happens, that's when you need strong characters to go to the ref and say "eh, go and do the same to them"

As soon as he didn't book Arnold after about 6 minutes for the blatant shove in the back of Gordon, you know your dealing with an absolute tosser of a referee.

God help whoever it is on Sunday macca,he is going to be in for the mother of all ninety minutes from our crowd I am sensing already.

Tell me when you see another Referee do this ?

Yeah pretty much never seen one do that. He made him move it about half an inch as i recall. Showed you his mindset and intent for the game. Pick on Everton as much as humanly possible and don't give them anything, meanwhile give the top 6 side everything you can.

I would sue the lot of them for what has gone on this season if we end getting relegated. In your face corruption that can be backed up with tons of proof.

I think the general media opinion was that it was a definite penalty Matip on Anthony Gordon. Even Tony Evans said so on Twitter and said anyone who thought not was deluded.

I do think these tv pundits be it at the ground or in the studio consider themselves body language experts. How many times do you hear "he was very clever there and drew the tackle in from the defender by the way he turned his leg (arm/head/arse) . Even if there was limited contact, he's gotta give it... ." Likewise, from the other pundit same incident you hear "he definitely plays for that...look at the way he turns and barges into the defender - never a penalty in my eyes." It rubs off on people watching and it must rub off on Referees too and reputations develop.

VAR should give yes or no.. not where there's doubt tell the same ref to look at it again. There's no continuity whatsoever and it's disgraceful that these clear aberrations aren't studied and remedied. Even worse, we could end up being the ultimate patsies to it.
