I do think a more seasoned ref would have gave it some thought or consulted his linesman before making a decision, Oliver however couldn’t wait to get the red out

If that was the case they wouldn't have given City a penalty that, if scored, would pretty much have ended the title race.Absolutely shafted yet again.
I’m almost convinced that VAR is being used (or not) to make the title race and relegation battle go on as long as possible for TV ratings. And I wonder if it’s got anything to do with this Super League thing. There is absolutely no reason to not overturn that red and give us a penalty. None at all.
People might say we got a penalty, yes, but that’s a clear second yellow for the Brentford player. I genuinely reckon it’s corruption.
I agree it was quick, but it was a very easy decision. Poor defending, and an even worse decision from Branthwaite. We were winning, even if he scores we have loads of time to recover.I do think a more seasoned ref would have gave it some thought or consulted his linesman before making a decision, Oliver however couldn’t wait to get the red out
Massively, to me it wasn't even a foul, more a coming together n if anything, their strikers legs naturally running, made contact with Braithwaites legs, naturally running, absolutely no foul! Wonder if the worlds greatest defender ? vvd would have gone for that??? ???The League is bent...corrupt.
I’d like to refer you to befordblue’s post above youNeither red card was a wrong decision.
We've seen multiple shirt pulls get ignored in our games (it happens multiple times a week). I don't agree with it but shirt pull does not equal penalty.
I don't agree that the Brentford guy had to get a second yellow for the penalty foul. People will argue with me on that I guess.
We have to stop leaving the game in the hands of others.
One is in the box. One isn't. And refereeing the game different in and out of the box is actually remarkably consistentI’d like to refer you to befordblue’s post above you
So you don’t know the rules then? It doesn’t matter where the foul is, it’s a foul ffsOne is in the box. One isn't. And refereeing the game different in and out of the box is actually remarkably consistent
That's not how it is done in practiceSo you don’t know the rules then? It doesn’t matter where the foul is, it’s a foul ffs

I've vaulted myself(if that's a thing) and I stand by it...at both ends of the table....it makes you think is it scripted? The Premier League want to keep it interesting by not letting one team run away with the league (ie) Bayern Munich etc etc......so the referees have been told this....Whoever is in the top two or three after Christmas get looked after by the referees on orders from above!
That's my theory anyway!
It's clumsy but it's 1 million percent a red.Was Branthwaite's definitely a red card by the way? It didn't look a deliberate foul as the it appeared his legs crossed with Toney's which caused the foul but it didn't look to me like a deliberate attempt to stop a goal scoring opportunity.
Either way, inexplicably poor defending.
