Referees v Everton

Why would he need to ?

Every man & his dog saw his getting wrenched.
Thats a stonewall pen standing up or not.
Also
Why wasnt it sent for VAR ?

It was. It was deemed not to have been in their tolerance level to classify as an obvious error to fix.

However, if Oliver had given it they wouldn't have overturned the decision.

Basically saying, the ref didn't think it was and we're not going to correct him.

I'm more tolerant of 1 person getting it wrong than a whole team with cutting edge technology at their fingertips getting it wrong
That’s exactly how you know there is something afoot and it’s bent - it’s actually being used to not give decisions.

There’s a room full of them ffs, surely someone should spout up and say “hang on, he’s nearly ripped the shirt off his back there, dont you think we need to tell mr Oliver to go and take a look at the monitor?” If there’s no corruption or agenda?

How can they watch someone’s armpit hair being just offside over 500 times in super slo mo and draw the lines 4000 times, but not give that pen shout the care and attention it warrants - same with the Rodri handball - it’s pathetic and bent.

Tolerance level ....wtf is that.

Its an obvious shirt pull in the box , its a pen.

If Oliver see's it he has to give it.
If he doesnt VAR should sort it.

Nothing short of corrupt.

See my previous post. Dermott Gallagher said it in the reverse fixture. Basically saying they think it's a pen without admitting it if the on field ref doesn't think it is.

Don't think Oliver thought it was a pen.

Pretty much. Never liked it. Never will

And for people to say "human error" or "it'll get better". No. It'll get judged as harshly as they judge a toenail being offside is in my book. And human error shouldn't be even uttered as an excuse for a multimillion pound infrastructure as it's the same excuse used for the 1 man with the whistle in the game for hundreds of years before it

Well they should be calling down his earpiece to tell him to look again.

We've seen games stopped for a few minutes in plenty of other matches.

In the case of Liverpool it gets checked from every angle until its given.

To be honest, the two red cards were red cards. He's made a whole heap of other blunders regarding second yellows, penalties, hell Brainthwaite wouldn't even be sent off if he gives the shirt pull a pen, but I think the reds were fair.
