Referees v Everton

The irony of Spit The Dog saying he only shouts at the end, last week he was digging him out for going down when he went over on his ankle. They’re all desperately trying not to say what they think which he should have gone down and the ref wouldn’t have a choice. But because he’s been getting loads of clog lately they can’t.
Salah would have been down in a flash with a few rolls and clutching his face for good measure, then it would have ‘using his experience’…?

or drawn out of a ballot, I'm amazed that none the 'best' referees actually support a top flight team.

Do what cricket did and use foreign refs

I’ve often bought refs should rotate. Some refs are refereeing teams between ref, fourth official, VAR, numerous weeks in a row. Some are training with teams in the summer. They call players by their first name like they’re mates.

The whole thing needs to be restructured. They don’t want that of course because then they can’t fix games.

Mix the refs up, mix the VAR up, give teams a VAR appeal each game when the ref has missed it, post match press conferences for referees, fines for repeated obvious ‘errors’, random allocation of refs nearer the time of the game, rotation with international refs.

You’re assuming they want to make the game fair.

Which is why they do it. They manipulate the media narrative to pressurise the results they want. Their incessant branding of Richalrison and Gordon as divers had meant they’re now both doing their best not to go down at all.

It’s all one big joined up matchfixing entity for money.

Not sure if this has been posted but it came up on my Facebook. I would normally take this sort of thing with a pinch of salt but now I’m not so sure ☹️

Laughable what he says isn't it mate, absolutely laughable.
It getting worse Macc, it’s just absolute garbage he’s talking, it’s not even believable what he’s saying, nonsensical guff.

Same as Gallagher on ref watch, clattenberg in the papers, jenas on motd2 all saying no pen - the agenda is set and the message is sent out from pmgol and the league to their lackeys. I just want honesty, consistency and accountability for the mistakes, but there’s no chance.

If it was any other team I might laugh at the hypocrisy and nonsense for a second, but then I’d be as mad as I am now - it’s disgusting.

I like that idea of each team getting a var appeal. I dont like var but if we are going to have it ,this gives those who play under its eye some sort of ownership

all great points, none of which will ever be enacted.

Our regular attacks on dodgy decisions are certainly making us as popular as a whistleblower but I still think we should fight the good fight and call them out in each and every one of them. They are a disgrace this season in particular and will keep on dishing it out unless we stand up for ourselves. No one else will.
