I’ve often bought refs should rotate. Some refs are refereeing teams between ref, fourth official, VAR, numerous weeks in a row. Some are training with teams in the summer. They call players by their first name like they’re mates.

The whole thing needs to be restructured. They don’t want that of course because then they can’t fix games.

Mix the refs up, mix the VAR up, give teams a VAR appeal each game when the ref has missed it, post match press conferences for referees, fines for repeated obvious ‘errors’, random allocation of refs nearer the time of the game, rotation with international refs.

I'd like to see an exchange program with the other European leagues...rotate fully...none would get complacent and standards would definitely rise.
But that's not likely. Brexit doesn't help that pipe dream either unfortunately

Our regular attacks on dodgy decisions are certainly making us as popular as a whistleblower but I still think we should fight the good fight and call them out in each and every one of them. They are a disgrace this season in particular and will keep on dishing it out unless we stand up for ourselves. No one else will.

Fortunately I think Lampard will. He wants to win, he’s always done whatever it takes, he’s not used to being the plucky underdog who has to take the misfortune because it all ‘evens out eventually’. We all now know that’s a load of rubbish. Lampard will want the same deferential treatment he had playing for Chelsea so hopefully he keeps up calling out the refs

So there are what, 20 refs eligible for PL games. So give the best 10 28 games and the other 10 10 games - or whatever it takes. And make them all ref every team pretty much the same number of times. None of this big game big ref crap - a standard allocation.

10-15 easily. I am not one for conspiracy theorist but we have had too many big decisions against us this season

When he pulls the red on Branthwaite, several Everton players point out the foul on Richarlson , including the player himself.
Had he had any common sense he would have known this issue needed addressing. Instead he ignores the protests. He had watched it happen, he knew it had happened , yet he refuses to ask var to back him up. I can only surmise he knew he would have to give the penalty. Otherwise if you are that sure you would say " sure, I'll just check"
