Dogs of War II. You might not like the football but you will like the fight for the shirt. Needs must. This isn’t about winning a cup it’s about getting the points to stay up. Anyone complaining about the quality of the football wants to start thinking of the mentality Dyche has installed, thinking about the form table, thinking about bottle. Could they see a Lampard team coming from behind twice at Chelsea and then last minute equalizer at home to Spurs. They would have buckled, we would have boo’d. You can only play the cards in your hand and fair play to Dyche he is playing them to gain points not plaudits.

You can't go into April thinking relegation is on the cards. Even when we had to wait to draw level after Dion Dublin's goal for Coventry, it was May then not April and we still didn't agree that we were going down.
When we were bottom with the worst manager in PL history, and needed a win but went 0-2 down, we won 3-2. We never said we were going down. (Wonder how many are thinking Wimbledon, how many thinking Palace!)
The thing is, we are not going down. We'll win some games. If we don't, we'll go down, but we will, so we won't.
Accepting relegation is for Southampton, for Bournemouth, for Leicester, for Leeds even. And for countless towns you've never been to because they accept lower league football, they see the pyramid as a step they are on and forget that some people have never looked below the peak. We haven't been to their grounds because they have never made that final step. We live on that final step.
Forget those fleeting friends, those Swindons, Cardiffs, Blackpools, Preston North Ends.
They came and saw but they are gone, we saw them all off, every one.
We are here and we shall stay, even without Sheedy, Sharp and Gray.
We shall be here, here we'll stay. We shall not be moved.
Oh Captain, my Captain.

Just cant make everyone happy, not sure as he is said dinosaur manager who plays for a draw and hoping to nick one somehow. When tonight we had 15 shots 6 on target, would love how else he could set up this team. I hate this idea of dyche and is football if this is dinosaur football what was the rubbish we seen with lampard
This is not dinosaur football, this is professional football with a squad suiting the manager's preferences at least a bit. Dyche's football kept Spurs quiet for the most of the game (yeah they had the possession but did it count) and produced more shots on the target etc. than the top four opponent's version. Last time I checked football was a game that can be played in many styles. Dyche has evolved and I think he's on to something, I mean if everybody else plays tiki taka, they're prepared/build for tiki taka. True, we are passing the midfield with longer passes but around enemies' box we are trying/doing nice things also.

We're not going down with these kind of performances and there's not a sign anymore that the attitude on the pitch is changing for the worse.

FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! UTFT and the new Dogs of War!

….can’t help but feel like an opportunity missed, Doucoure massively let everybody down. On a positive note, the attitude and spirit is there even if the attacking quality isn’t.

We have a chance but I’m not sure where the required 3 wins will come from.

I enjoy this type of football with a little more 'quality' and end product added.

Whatever people say, Spurs are 4th and have a top notch attack.

A point was a good result and hopefully the performance level continues and another point vs United for a good week.

I’m struggling to see where the 3 - 4 wins come from too with our attacking options. Last night gave me some hope though.

I’d much rather watch Dyche’s brand of football than the spineless and toothless style that saw us plummet down the table under Lampard. Fighting for every ball and looking threatening when we attack. More of the same please.

We may not need 3 wins, the way we’re playing we could easily grind out a ton of draws, so the win count could become lower.

Got to be looking at the run of fixtures like

Fulham H, Palace A, Leicester A, Wolves A, Bournemouth H, as perfectly reasonable opportunities to go and grind out results.

If needed Newcastle at home under the lights could be magic. We play City Inbetween a potential Semi final week for them in the CL (if they’re out the title race, who knows), and then United on Saturday, if they fail to beat Brentford tomorrow, they’ll have potentially went 7 weeks without scoring a goal.

Football at this end of the season is funny, Everton going away and drawing at Chelsea. Michael Keane scoring for 25 yards out on the last minute.

We’ve got winnable games, just hope we don’t hide and actually take it to then, because it’s completely in our own hands.

2 things from last night.
Firstly, Dyche has got these players fighting, there's a team a spirit. They will come up against sides better than them where having more heart, more determination isn't enough to win the game but against 70% of this league, just working harder will get you results because most of the league is dross.
And that brings me onto the second thing. How are Spurs 4th? They were so poor last night.

Stuck on Talksport on the way home and listened to their so called experts defend Kane because winners do what ever they can to get an advantage. It was embarrassing. Had that been Richarlison rolling around on the floor like he'd been hit by Mike Tyson there would have been a media witch hunt.

Tbh I actually do also quite like the football.

I’ve done a super conservative prediction for the remaining fixtures and it sees us getting to 36 points

Wins v Leeds, Brentford, Fulham, Bournemouth at home

Draws v Villa (h), Forest (a), Spurs (h), Palace (a), Newcastle (h), Wolves (a)

Losses v Liverpool (a), Arsenal (a) Chelsea (a), United (a) Leicester (a) Brighton (a) City (h)

That takes us to 36. If we get above this tally I think we stay in the league. Below it it’s highly doubtful.

Would be great to get a point or three against the predictor by getting something from Anfield.

We’re exactly on track against what I thought we’d do to get us to 36 points after the Arsenal win (point gained against Chelsea but lost against Villa)

Judging by how we’re playing at the moment though, i’d be amazed if we didn’t get any points from the United Leicester Brighton and City games.

If we can get something against United we’re ahead of the curve for the first time since Dyche arrived.

Makes you feel even more bemused that we pissed £500m up the wall. Spurs were 1 minute away from going third, and they’re all having a meltdown.

Man Utd haven’t scored for 7 weeks, and they’re still in the top 4.

If only we’d got it right, instead of spending money on Tosun, Schneiderlin etc…

At home we've always got a chance

Drawn with Spurs, beaten Arsenal, drawn with Liverpool, made Man United sweat in a narrow 1-2 loss

Hopefully we can get some more points on the road and then win some of the vital upcoming home matches

Signs are there away from home.

Personally I think we probably should have beaten Forest, we certainly had the chance.

Rode our luck against Chelsea, but showed fight and grit to get us a point there.

The Palace, Leicester and Wolves games are massive. Win one of them and it’s a huge springboard.
