Aye, but let's be honest, if we cannot pick up maximum points against Palace and Leicester at home and remain undefeated in the away games, then we once again fully deserve a relegation battle.

I remember very well this time last season and people sticking their heads in the sand saying things like "our form will pick up, we'll put a run together soon" and it literally didn't happen until Lampard came in, and even then his results were pretty crap and it took a freak result against Palace to save us.

From these next 5 fixtures, if we cannot pick up a minimum 8 points then we are royally screwed and 100% battling for survival this season.

It really does come to something when games against kin Newcastle are nowadays deemed Mr Moshiri Expected Defeats, and would you feel confident going to Fulham and taking the points? I sure don't.

18 points from 15 games is of course ever so slightly above what you generally need to stay up in terms of points:games ratio, as would even 6 from the next 5 games, but it definitely won't be looking good for us with many favourable fixtures having been played.
I actually believe the fixture list has not been kind to us. After 10 games we have only had one home game against a promoted or bottom half team from last year. Those are the games where we will accrue most of our points

We will have to get the odd unexpected point or three, against big six sides, and away from home. One point in nine so far at home against the top sides. We will have to do slightly better than that, considering Man City to come to GP also.

Otherwise we will still continue to put too much pressure on to win our home games, and we're inevitably going to drop points in those that we would hope to have gained.

It's the so-called unexpected results that can make the difference between relative comfort or a very jittery end to the season.

This, we’ve played 3 of the “top 6” in our first 5 home games which means there are only 3 left to play in our next 14 home games so hopefully things will pick up at home. 5 points from 5 away games so far is a good return, halfway to matching our total from the whole of last season although we’ve only played 1 of the top teams away so far.

Looking at the top half of the table, not the bottom half. We've sorted the defence out, just need Dominic Calvert-Lewin to start firing.
He needs ammunition to start firing. We are creating very little , which isn't a great surprise given how we are set up and that McNeil, Gray and Gordon are our creative outlets.

Forget Newcastle. That's a defeat.

The Palace game is almost as huge as the last time we played them.

Four defeats on the run will cement us in the relegation shake up and will cause morale to ebb away fast.

They looked dogged against Leicester yesterday and are well capable of causing an upset at Goodison unless someone finds their scoring boots.

I really think we're going to have to pray that the powers that be at Everton have secured two very decent strikers in January or we WILL be relegated this season, no question. Only Richarlison's goals prevented it last season. A team that cant score is in big trouble in this league.

They looked terrible I thought. Played for a 0-0 from kick off which was odd v 20th team who can't defend. Palace will be comfortable mid table but one of those teams you can get at if you score the first goal and of course they crumbled second half last season when under significant pressure from crosses so that has to be the tactic.

It's a big game for sure. 1 win from first 6 home games isn't a great look if you need Goodison form to remain solid to stay up.

Forest at home should've been 3 points, they lost to Wolves yesterday and also Bournemouth and Fulham at home in recent weeks.

Lost at Villa Park...everyone can see every week how bad Villa are under Gerrard. That was a missed opportunity and I'd say Leeds was aswell given they haven't won a game since August 28th.

Why’s everyone worried about the Newcastle game btw?

They’ve won 1 more game than us so far this season.
It's incredible. It's almost like the "faith" that so many say we should "keep" in Lampard is...not really there at all.

We should be going there with full intention of getting at least a point.

There are a number of clubs in a worse situation than us not just points wise but for a number of reasons. Not concerned about relegation in the slightest

You`re like the John Bishop of GOT with a plastic Wizards Den crystal ball, are you a real poster or just a wum merchant, you may as well say if we get beat in our next twenty five games we`re down.
Have you got a scientific hockey-stick graph to prove that this theory will lead to catastrophe or are you just a dooms-day guessing game player?
