Forest at home should've been 3 points, they lost to Wolves yesterday and also Bournemouth and Fulham at home in recent weeks.

Lost at Villa Park...everyone can see every week how bad Villa are under Gerrard. That was a missed opportunity and I'd say Leeds was aswell given they haven't won a game since August 28th.
Yes if we had got our recruitment done a little earlier I suspect we would have another 3 points. Draw at Villa and win v Forest. Hopefully we can get at least 9 points in the next 5 that would leave us reasonably placed heading into the break

Forget Newcastle. That's a defeat.

The Palace game is almost as huge as the last time we played them.

Four defeats on the run will cement us in the relegation shake up and will cause morale to ebb away fast.

They looked dogged against Leicester yesterday and are well capable of causing an upset at Goodison unless someone finds their scoring boots.

I really think we're going to have to pray that the powers that be at Everton have secured two very decent strikers in January or we WILL be relegated this season, no question. Only Richarlison's goals prevented it last season. A team that cant score is in big trouble in this league.
This is a little defeatist. We will be underdogs going up there but they are flattered a little bit by recent results. Brentford gifted them 3 goals last week and Fulham the week before had a man sent off early doors. Bournemouth got a point up there before that.

I am very confident of finishing above Bournemouth and Forest over the course of the season so it is one other team we need to finish above so the odds are in our favour. Southampton, Leeds, Wolves and Fulham will be in the mix and possibly Villa and Leicester if they don’t get their acts together.

Is it any wonder we literally can not score goals.....

10 games and 10 points is basically relegation battling form. For some perspective we were very short player wise for the first 5 games before the transfer window shut and we've just had a couple of hard games.

At best we are an average midtable side and at worst fighting relegation. With so few goals in us many games will be played on a knife edge so I feel the pendulum could swing either way.

Obviously we need some quality in attack which has some real end product. Question is do we have any cash in Jan?

Yip very low on end product. Gordon is the only player who I can see really improving their stats as the rest are fairly established accept for McNeil.
Who scouts these players? Do we think players that score 1 in 5 and assist 1 in 10 will automatically improve at Everton?

Recruitment this summer in the main was good but McNeil and Maupay are just not fit for purpose.

I always think buying any player and expecting them to be better than their history tells us is a big risk. I always think of Bolasie signing for £27 million at 27 and Koeman saying he needs to give more end product now.

We had a huge constraint with money in the summer and needing to rebuild defence, midfield and attack was a big ask. I think McNeil was young and only cost £4 million upfront. 100% agree we are short on attacking talent.

There's 2 without question I think are worse (Southampton and Forest). Then we sit in a group above that could go either way, but I think we are more likely to be safe than some because of the type of team we've built.

Leeds, Palace, Wolves, Leicester, Everton, Fulham, Bournemouth, Villa. Is gonna be one of these teams and I personally still think it'll be Bournemouth and we'll finish 14th.

The defence is the only hope until we get strikers in. If we get strikers in then we have a different scenario.
