Based on the fact he only needs about 2/3 wins for safety. Not manage them for a whole season.

He’s more likely to do that than Marsch.
Disagree, Marsch literally got enough out of a Leeds side sliding down the table this time last season. If I remember rightly Benitez went into Newcastle when they had 8 games left and didn’t keep them up.

Leeds 1-5 Palace.
A bit of a freak result whatever people say.
But been around a good while and every now and then that type of scoreline pops up at critical time.
Would love us to get one of them before the end of the season.

Lamps is truly a hopeless manager. Why did they stick with him for so long.?
There were still fans backing him even up to his last game hoping a striker would have been enough to save him. He was showing signs of what has happened this season last season.

I think the board also took the focus away from the poor job Lampard was doing, Dyche proves that!

Not one bit mate, especially since we made it a walk in the park for those Stone Roses loving pricks.

Man United are nothing but a bunch of Oasis and Joy Division loving twunts.

Unknown Pleasures has to be one of the most disappointing albums I've ever heard.

Just what is it with blasting out "This Is The One" every time they walk onto the pitch anyway?!. Stone Roses and that monkey faced twut Ian Brown.....

We will beat Brighton and when we do, I will wind up all their supporters I work with.

They all have got Wembley tickets, constantly bragging on about it, it's so sad and pathetic.

As much as I hate those Joy Division loving twunts, at least them beating Brighton will put us in a good place to beat them.

Underrated rants these…I mean of all the things we can slag our Manc cousins for I don’t think their music is one of them 🤣

Based on the bounce he had with us. He does not need to have "a good time" - copyright Bill Kewnright - as a manager. He needs to get a bounce. He got one with a similarly useless group of players at Everton.

Don't get me wrong. I hope he falls flat on his face and it's a death sentence for Leicester. But I think there is every possibility this comes back to be the horror show for us that @matty1878 suffers in his nightmares...when he can actually sleep.

Leicester need a bounce, not a Champions League win. Benitez is well capable of a bounce.
Thing is, Leicester are pretty much the opposite of the squad he had at Everton: they are good in possession and have some really creative players but are disastrous out of it. That’s why his defensive / counter attacking style with us had some initial success. But if he does the same with Leicester he might just nullify their greatest strength while overly relying on their weakest point.

If we are realistic, then these set of results look very achievable:

Fulham h - win
Palace a - draw
Newcastle h - loss
Leicester a - win
Brighton a - loss
Man City h - loss
Wolves a - draw
Bournemouth - win

11 points and a total of 38.

You could even allow for 3 points in total from palace leixester and wolves away and wed finish on 36 which would be enough. 9 points will keep us up and surely is achievable with those fixtures. Chances are we will win one of those away games with some wins at home.
This is the middle of the road view,
The optimist in me says:
Fulham h - win
Palace a - draw
Newcastle h - draw
Leicester a - win
Brighton a - loss
Man City h - draw
Wolves a - draw
Bournemouth - win

13 points and a total of 40

The pessimist in me says:
Fulham h - loss
Palace a - loss
Newcastle h - loss
Leicester a - draw
Brighton a - loss
Man City h - loss
Wolves a - draw
Bournemouth - draw

3 points and a total of 30

Of course it is somewhere in the middle as you originally posted. We aare less likely to go on a winning spree or a losing run with 8 games to play.

I think somewhere in the middle too.

Sorry to state the obvious but Fulham is such a massive game. Win that and we will definitely stay up imo.

Everyone rightfully goes on about our away form, but I can see us pulling out a flukey win somewhere out of leicester/wolves/Palace.

Dyche will get this team over the safety line, somehow.

Benitez is such a fat rat, all he does is bounce.
