This is where I agree with you, Rat.

The Senor is a clear and present threat should he take over there. He got a bounce out of us. He could get one out of them. For all the hatred and invective spewed his way by sections of our fanbase, the reality is he is a highly competent manager. He may not be what he was, but it would be the most "Everton, that" moment ever if he keeps them up at our expense.

Talk about karma.
Very brave saying that. I fully agree. People hated him for where he had been previously and ignored his footballing credentials.

Come on. The performances and results were awful. Every single club in the country would have sacked him on the run of results he was having. Norwich sacked Farke for less (as an example) and he had lots of credit in the bank.

Sure... very easy to blame him for everything but where is the responsibility for the players?

The players knew he was treading a thin line with the fans when he was appointed. They performed for him to start with but then they failed to do anything when things started turning against us. They simply knew they could get rid of him and that's what happened. But yes, he ultimately has to take the blame but it wasn't as if our finances allowed him to replace those he didn't want.

And yes, football is a dog eat dog world. Ten Hag knew what to do with Ronaldo and didn't hesitate because he was backed fully.

I’ve just seen the footage of Gordon being hauled off against Brentford, I’d not seen it before.

Absolute child, he properly shoved Howe away from him. He’s been there 5 minutes.

Footballing credentials...
Other than a good spell with Valencia ( who in those days were like a 'sleeping giant' in Spain, always had good squad of players to work with.
Than obviously the Filth, they just hyped him up so highly he suddenly got seen as a wonderful manager.
Since then what has he done anywhere other then really just caretaking big clubs, until they soon see through him.
And as for Newcastle he only got such big praise there cos all there hatred was towards 'Ashley' and Benitez put all blame his way.

If he went to Leicester I would just be worried about the payback he would somehow get on us, It's just Sod's law that it would happen.
After that even leicester would send him packing..

Really easy to gloss over what he achieved at RS isn't it? Huge expectation there and he delivered.
I agree, after that, not so great but that's football. Who'd you rather have Frank Fraud or him? I know who I'd trust more to at least be tactically aware.
