We were saying this last season when we had Chelsea and United to play at home.

Points often come from the games you don't expect them to - weird things do happen. So, people can maybe clutch onto those straws.

That said, for three teams, those points never come. Last season I believed we could stay up, even after Burnley. Can't say the same now.

No win we get between now and the end of the season will be expected. Of course we can still pull it off but it's a horrible position to be in.

Newcastle and City of this season are different gravy to Chelsea and Utd of last season, plus we dont have Richarlison who single handedly got the winner v Chelsea, his replacement? Neale Maupay!

Yeah and that is the biggest difference.... No goal scorers, not even anyone that is going to stand up and fight!

Dyche is ruining his good start, looking like he is going the same way as Senors Benitez and Lampard.....

No wins in 4 now..... 1 in 8

He's had a hard start fixture wise like but no excuses for that today.

Awful everywhere on the pitch, dunno what he's said at half time as well because the 10/15 after the break was amongst the worst I've seen this season

Atmosphere wasn't particularly great today though for a number of reasons.

It's always better for an evening game, plus nobody likes Newcastle, there's the Anthony Gordon factor, and you've gotta hope the line-up won't be as underwhelming as it was today.

The atmosphere will be good for the Newcastle game, whether the team will be is another thing.

It's a completely different dynamic when the crowd are up for it. Newcastle won't be able to handle it, nor will Bournemouth last day.

I actually agree mate. We are a better team than Bournemouth so we will beat them if we need to. Newcastle are a good team but may go downhill after their loss to Aston Villa today.

Problem is we have missed DCL. Get him fit and we will really improve and get wins. Hopefully he is back next weekend.

Definitely think we will beat Bournemouth final day if we needed to, but its if we can get to that game with a chance, and not maybe already be gone, off course it would be great to somehow be safe by then

I can't really fault Dyche because he inherited a mess, a team that were joint on points with the bottom side and that didn't even have one proven striker. I can't even fault the players because they gave their all today.

The atmosphere was dire at Goodison today at a time when we really needed the fans, but I won't even fault the fans because we've been served up so much dross since the Premier League began.

Sadly we are down and that means the stadium almost certainly won't be finished. Where that leaves us in terms of a stadium I don't know because I don't imagine Goodison will pass its health and safety checks for much longer.
