Saturday is such a big game, I think if we win we will be safe. Lose and we will go down I think. Draw and I think we will go down.

My predictions for the weekend for the teams at the bottom:

Everton 1 - 0 Fulham
Southampton 2 - 1 Crystal Palace
Forest 1 - 1 Man utd
Man city 4- 1 Leicester
Leeds 1 - 1 Liverpool
Spurs 2 - 2 Bournemouth
West ham 1 - 2 Arsenal
Wolves 2 - 1 Brentford

No need to panic here.

OK a terrible result but the positives..

Leicester and forest will probably lose
Southampton lost.

We will be in no worse position come tomorrow night.

We will definitely pick up the results needed.

Especially when dcl returns.

There will be ups and downs but we will stay up.

You literally said yesterday you think we’d go down if we lost today??

It's what we do though. We have a terrible run of games in which you expect us to pick no points up and we do well. We play the likes of Villa and Fulham at home were you expect us to pick up points and we get nothing.

The point of Everton Football Club is to defy logic.

That is what I am clinging to. We are better when the pressure is off, so by that logic will probably do well in the Newcastle, Brighton and City games.

While we are goodwhen we are expected to lose, we are usually awful when there is any pressure.

If we go into that final Bournemouth game needing anything, even a point (and even if Bournemouth are safe) in order to stay up, you just know we will find a way to lose.

But… don’t forget we play Leicester away… and their home form has been utterly dire.
so, I’m not sure that home/away matters so much when it comes down to the wire
Literally everyone on here is writing Leicester off, they could have got something at City today if they took their chances, after one game with this manager.

They will get out of it, who are we going to catch from above? Leeds? West Ham? Bournemouth on 33 already and 6 clear of us, Wolves 7 clear, Palace 9 clear...

It is so obvious what is happening here, no one can save us, not now, the games we have left are too tough.

Leicester, Palace and B'mouth are MUST win. We simply can't afford to lose any of these. Sadly, I can't see where else we can get points from. Newcastle are in the race for CL place, Brighton Europe and City the league. It won't easy but we can do it if we turn up.

Difficult? Yes. Tough? Well put your self in the shoes of Leicester, Leeds or Forest.
their games are tougher… quite a lot tougher….
I know we’re all depressed and can’t see where the next point is coming form, but if we take a step back, we’re in a better situation than the other three..

I've thought about it, and given DCL will be back next week I now see 8 points for us. Brighton will possibly be in the fa cup final so distracted too.

We aren't going down. We will win a game when we don't expect to, it could be against Newcastle, Leicester etc.

The odds for us beating Palace next weekend aren't too dissimilar to the odds of Fulham beating us today, even though at this moment it doesn't really feel that way. Palace are on a good run and are a decent side but 4 wins on the bounce is something few teams achieve in this league. Being away might even help as all our disastrous results have been at home.

Changes needed though: Maupay should never start a game for us again. Hopefully DCL back, if not Simms, I'd probably play Martin Sherif ahead of him now. As poor as we were for much of the match, I think Simms buries one of the chances Maupay had first half, and if we go in at half time it's a whole different story.

I had a bad feeling about today (we've been losing matches like that all season) but weirdly don't feel too pessimistic about next weekend.

Palace have done the hard work now and will start to relax.

We should still be absolutely fine. You're going to get some setbacks in a dogfight, Fulham are a good side.
