What we probably need is for one of Leeds and Leicester to win at the weekend, and the other to lose. We then need the one who wins their game to slap the other one all over the place when they play each other the following week. I’d rather it be Leicester who continue to lose given they’re already below us.

I'd much rather they both lose Saturday, then we take it from there

I think Leeds are gone and it's between us / Leicester / Forest for 18th. On balance I reckon we're probably worse than Leicester but better than Forest so that should be enough.

I just can’t see Forest surviving with the games they have left.

Leeds are capable of pulling a mad result out - beat wolves 4-2 away the other week, they just attack, itll work against some sides - they will take some hammerings as were seeing, but they'll get another 4 pts this season at least I think, meaning 33pts - were on 27 with a worse GD - are we getting 6 more pts before the end of the season? Im not so sure.

Im hoping Leicester totally mess up their next couple and we get a result there.

Leicester fans, Leeds fans and blues all saying the same thing, we are down. Obviously it won't be true for all 3 teams, but we have to see something and fast. Chance Palace get casual on sat?
Yes, they're feeling comfier. The Roy Hodgson bounce, who'da thunkit

Been trying to think of the positives the last few days.

1. Despite a dismal result we are still out of the relegation zone.

2. We will hopefully have Dyche's favourites back for the last 6 and a settled team which is harder to beat.

3. We gained on Leeds' GD.

4. Leeds have to play Leicester.

5. Whilst IMO unlikely, we have the chance to beat Leicester and safety is in our own hands.

6. We wriggled out of a similar position last season and finished above Leeds.

I know there's an argument against each if these points. We don't have Richarldison etc etc. And I still think we are favouties to go down. But we aren't dead and buried just yet.
We had the chance to beat a Fulham at home with nothing to play for and without their main striker and still could not tske th chance being comprehensively beaten - it wasn’t even a tight affair. I agree with a few other posters - we seemed to have started to ship goals and are still not scoring anywhere enough….it’s the more prolific goal scoring teams in my opinion will have a better chance of staying up…of course, I hope I am wrong

Great post this - thank you.

We have one of the better run ins.

I sort of think Wolves, Palace, West Ham, Bournemouth have done enough. It's whether we can do better than those below us. I think we can, but Dyche's godda figure the goals out.
Needs to figure out how to stop conceding again also. A few nil alls might keep us at this stage. Back to basic. Tight at the back and hopefully nick the odd goal. Its grim but needed

To me, 6 of Leeds last 7 games look un-winable right now.

If I were to put a number on their likely points accumulation over those 7 games I'd say they'll get maximum 5 or 6 to give them a at best 34 points.

It's that 2 point gap they have on us and 4 point gap they have on Leicester that's working for them though.

By the same token we have that 2 point gap on Leicester. I see us getting for sure about 7 / 8 more points handing us 35 points.

Leicester have 4 matches they'll look to get points from: Wolves, Leeds, Everton and West Ham. I dont think they're anywhere near good enough to get 4 wins but I think they might just get 1or 2 wins and a draw but nothing from Fulham, Liverpool and Newcastle. At most they can get another 7 possibly 8 points....which for an outfit that's won 8 points from the last 48 on offer would be some transformation. They'll finish on 33 points at best IMO...and if Leeds and / or Everton take points off them they can forget it.

I look at Everton's run in there and I wonder where the points are coming from based on the last two performances.

Then I look at them again through the lens of our performances prior to that and I see lots of opportunities to get points.

It's a good job we have 4 other teams around us equally as dire as we've been in the last two matches or we'd be in real trouble right now.
