I really dont think so, as I've said my interests in this are purely academic, as I have come to terms with the inevitable. The nutcases are those who are actually affected mentally by such statements - which you seem to be from your post above decrying anyone who makes them.
Lots of people think we are going down, Kev. I think we are on the brink, myself, waiting to be pushed. But, generally, most of those people don't feel the need to wail from the rooftops that we are doomed. DOOMED! DOOMED I TELLS YA!

We get your point, Kev. You think we are doomed. We understand.

If these 3 results happen (and I’d say all are likely), then we are done before the final day;

Leeds beat Leicester
Newcastle beat Everton
Leicester beat Everton

That puts us 4 points from safety without even counting Leeds’ result at Bournemouth and ignoring Forest.

I would say Leicester beating Leeds is a more likely result there. Just got a feeling Leicester will start to pull away with a new manager bounce.

Our problem is none of these games look really winnable until Bournemouth. We're at the point where we are thinking Newcastle needs to be 3 points but if they turn up and play properly it's going to be very difficult.

1 win in 9 games. 1 win away from home all season. The positivity people have is purely based on them thinking other teams won't get results.

Not even shocked by the reaction in here is not over at all, i am going step back from posting in here. Some here just want to be negative and get a reaction, yea is not great back in the bottom 3 but gained a point on other team is alot more points to go. I will keep thinking that we can stay up and with players to return i believe we can perform better
Load of bollocks, people are posting the way they see it….I know that if we beat Newcastle on Thursday I will be a lot more upbeat, and if result then favour us this coming weekend I will be more so…..it will change week to week. It’s amazing the way posters mock or accuse other posters because they do not agree. Can’t rebut any alternative views? I’ll just accuse people of deliberately being negative….no one has created this situation except the club

It's wishful thinking. There's very little to suggest we will stay up under our own steam. By the same token, Leeds and Forest are in the same boat. Southampton too, and they have points to make up on even us. So, the hope - or what remains of it - is that we are fractionally less crap than the other three. That's not a blind hope. It might even be the most likely outcome. But it's the agonising wait for that outcome to reveal itself that is our ordeal now.

And, truth be told, if we do somehow stay up, what's going to change? Dark days for Evertonians.

That was completely woeful yesterday. I get some might view it as a good point, but Palace were awful and we were just as bad. We simply don't have any quality in the squad. The only way we win Thursday is if the crowd make it really horrible for Newcastle. There was an air of resignation in our end yesterday though.

Just wondering what the atmosphere will be like at the ground if we are down by the time the Bournmouth game is played - I think theres a good chance we could be.

We need Calvert-Lewin, Onana, Doucoure & Coleman to be fit & firing to have any chance of survival, because what’s below them are not fit for purpose.

We also need 3 out of Southampton, Forest, Leicester & Leeds to be more inept than us & unfortunately, like Bournemouth & Wolves before them, they all look capable of a result.

Kenwright & Co have ripped the heart out of this club.
I think a lot of Leeds fans would disagree with you that they look capable of a result right now

The Newcastle game is the one. It has to be 3 points or we are staring down the barrel. I just can't see us going to any of the away games and winning based on what I've seen all season - even since Dyche came in.

Wasted opportunities against Wolves, Southampton and Fulham at home. When you're as bad as we are on the road, they have to be wins.

The goal difference thing could kill us in the end, his decision to bring Keane back in could cost the club, we were reasonably solid before that.

Ive said ot for weeks that we need wins and other results go for us, none of this about other games dont matter stuff, every other result if it goes our way helps big time, its just that we have to make that result count when we play, which a lot of the time we dont

I tend to agree. My disappointment/sadness right now is we are not good enough to save ourselves cleanly. We're, basically, trying to stay up by default. So, morally, we deserve to drop in my book. For so many reasons. The real frustration for me is that we didn't remove Lampard after the Bournemouth debacle in November. I have no doubt the new manager would have gleaned more than the one point Frank did from the Wolves, City, Brighton, Southampton, and West Ham fixtures had he come in during the World Cup. That was one mistake too far for this club.

We're primed for the drop now. Any three from four.

This is horrible! Hopefully Leeds and Forest do us both a favour. Yesterday wasn't pretty from us by any means bit after so long without a win I really don't care about that. 2 massive games for us both now
I honestly don't think Forest will be relegated. I'm afraid it's likely to be Southampton, Leeds, Leicester/Everton.
