As someone who no longer goes to the match that's easy. Turning up must be massively demoralising.

You'd think so, but I sold my seat last night to buy 2 together to take a mate who never gets chance to go. We were in the main stand, and there was loads of optimism around us. Plenty of youngsters too, so not having any of that. Optimism, Obviously disappeared, along with 20% of the crowd when the 3rd went in. Understandably given how we can't score more than 1. But 2 points separate 4 teams. All 4 teams will be nervous, and it could literally go any way. Don't think any team will have a run of results so will be a very nervy last game for a few I think.

Let's worry about FFP, ownership, board, governance etc once we know. Worrying about all of that is wasted energy between now and the last game.

If we don't believe we can stay up, then we're gone.

When we talk about mass clearouts again we've snookered ourselves, how is it possible.

1) Are we happy to have Moshiri still as owner if he clears out every other board member as he's going nowhere for a very long time, how can he?

2) How do we cull a squad of big money players on big wages who nobody will want.......buy them out?

3) The BMD project has to be in jeopardy if we drop, if any money we have gets pumped in to that then where is our war chest for the team?

Relegation is a doomsday scenario for us, unlike any other club will have experienced. It's a perfect storm.

We simply must stay in the prem for a proper reset to happen.
Have you been asleep for the last 2 seasons ? P&S prevents us from net spending on the team and the rules are even more stringent in the Championship.

There is no "warchest"

I’m not sure how we do it, but we need a full on enema.
Flush out all the shyte and try and start again.

Relegation, or no relegation.

There isn’t currently a single person involved at the club who would be missed.

This. But you know what. Newcastle and Aston Villa give me hope. Neither club are as big as ours IMO or as appealing. Both have yoyo'd over the years and both have shown what a plan and good coaching can do.
I don't buy this we have to go down to start again. We start again today. Even if it is just mentality and refusal to give up.

One thing at a time blues.

I can't get my head around this "Relegation will make us bigger and stronger as a club and enable us to rebuild" argument.

I will still be going to the match even if we end up in the National League North, but frankly many thousands of blues will refuse to watch us in the Championship if we get relegated this season. And I kind of get that. So we will have fewer fans, almost no revenue, none of our international players such as Pickford and enormous debts with no money with which to service them. How can we rebuild in those circumstances? If we are relegated to the championship the only way is further down. Much further down.

I've also heard loads say "It'd be nice to at least win some games again".

I'm speechless with this crew.

They have no idea what they're talking about and yet they've been trailing round this forum the upside of relegation all season because "it'll get rid of Kenwright and give us a new lease of life with a reset and a change of football philosophy".

Utterly bewildering.

No we needed an enema 5 years ago - now we need surgey to cut out the cancer and then loads of radiotherapy.

If we don't beat Leicester I think we are done. And we probably are done anyway.
You can only look at the evidence before your eyes. On the basis of our last three performances, I don't believe we can beat Leicester. Last night's capitulation was exactly how you would expect a team that has accepted its fate to perform. They threw up the white flag.

Leicester, clearly, have their problems too. But on the evidence of their last three games, they are playing in a manner that suggests that they will stay up relatively comfortably.

When you throw in our lamentable away record, it's hard to see how we could get more than a draw.

It's definitely not over yet, but something significant within the squad/camp would have to change to give us a chance of getting out of this.

100% agree. We’re in the trenches now, should just be head down , all energies focussed on Leicester. Glad to hear those who do attend still have the will. Ergo I salute you sir.
