Will any of yous actually watch the prem while we're in the championship? If Everton aren't in it, I literally can't imagine caring what happens in another division. Never followed the champions league or any of that nonsense, don't think I'll be watching the prem at all next year tbh
I'll still do my Fantasy League teams with mates (I never put Everton players in it anyway) - that's usually the only reason I take an interest in any other games

No worries, we have just signed Sexton Blake and Tinker on a free.

I'm so angry with the bunch of incompetence that have led us here. We understand that being a Blue is special, it's an important part of our lives. It's engraved into our hearts. Many of us live and breathe Everton. We give them our last pennies. I was watching kids leaving last night in tears. They have been let down terribly, as have we all.
I feel as though they've ripped the heart out of the club, and us, the supporters, and are just stamping on it down a dark alley.
It's difficult to express how much anger I have for them.

Someone mentioned recently about another Nyarko moment happening. I can’t begin to imagine how ugly the atmosphere will be, come the Bournemouth game, if we’re already down. Or if we need to beat them, but don’t.

The players usually do a lap waving to the crowd at the end of every final home game. I can foresee another pitch invasion, only not one of celebration this time. If I were one of these frauds masquerading as footballers, I’d make sure I was near the tunnel on 90 minutes.

Do you know part of me wishes that I could. One of my very good friends is a ST holder at City. I went down the pub to watch their game on Wednesday because I thought it would be a decent game. Their football is sublime , wonderful and I was pleased for him but otherwise I was disinterested . Actually the complete opposite of when I watch Everton. Then the football is terrible but I'm totally engaged.

I guess it all comes down to if you like football, or everton

I do find football itself pretty boring these days, I have for a few years. I can't remember last time I watched a club football match

I love international tournaments though, watch nearly every game there

Great points. Back in the 80's I used to love football , going to the match and Everton.

Now I CBA wasting half a day plus going to Goodison , have little real interest in football and think I'm falling out of love with Everton or at least what we've become - and I'm taliking about the club there not the results.

Aye, tournament footy is probably peak for me. Outside of Everton and the odd cup final I feel its overstaurated and uncompetitive.

Villa fan in peace. Just lurking from Friday afternoon boredom and hope you don't mind me posting. I have a soft spot for Everton, a proper club with a lot of similarities with Villa, and I really hope you stay up. But if you do go down then I promise all is not lost. When we went down we'd been rotten for several seasons, and it was a chance to reset and detox, clear out the deadwood and start again. The championship can be a lot of fun, more competitive, less money obsessed (on the face of it anyway) and it’s likely you’ll compete at the top end of the table, when every game means something, every team is desperate to beat you (always makes winning sweeter) and you’re looking up the table rather than down. Villa’s ten game winning run to reach the playoffs, Grealish destroying defences single handedly and seeing my lad’s face at the final whistle against Derby in the play off final are all amongst my very favourite Villa memories. Best of luck for the remainder of the season.

If this was the early 00's I would be absolutely devastated, like you in the 80's I guess. I just came to the conclusion that football matches shouldn't take over the peak time and day of the weekend, and I was free

I got into it a bit more at the end of last season with the relegation but I don't have the same energy to waste this year. More apathy
