Sunderlandton FC is it?

I guess the question is - when do the financial penalties kick in around wages in the EFL? Is it immediate, like we get relegated, have a massive wage bill and that's it? Or do we get til the start of the season/end of the window to get ourselves in order and get the players out the club?

Someone mentioned recently about another Nyarko moment happening. I can’t begin to imagine how ugly the atmosphere will be, come the Bournemouth game, if we’re already down. Or if we need to beat them, but don’t.

The players usually do a lap waving to the crowd at the end of every final home game. I can foresee another pitch invasion, only not one of celebration this time. If I were one of these frauds masquerading as footballers, I’d make sure I was near the tunnel on 90 minutes.
I think if we're already down by Bournemouth, that would be the perfect time for the boycott that has been mentioned a few times, but always shot down because we rightly need to support the team. If that game means nothing, they should be playing it to a half empty stadium

Great point and impossible to argue against.

In normal circumstances.

Hiwever…both Wolves and Bournemouth will have nowt to play for by that stage so maybe that increases our chances of two unlikely wins.

So a point at Foxes will at least keep my hopes alive….for a few weeks 😞
This is my thoughts. Last game Bournemouth won’t want to be in the position of a very hostile relegation threatened fan base, do a definite 3 points for us.

Pretty sure its at the end of a season, or the beginning of a dreaded season#2 if its your first time down there. That is based purely on Burnley, and I think Newcastle avoiding sanctions cos they came straight back up.

Anyone on a salary big enough to genuinely cause an issue will have already lined up a new club the time we play Bournmouth. We will get fleeced on the sale price, obviously, as we will be in no position to play hardball. First come first served, with a free Maupay thrown in if you take Iwobi.

The media idiots that keep using Pickfords new contract as a millstone need to open their eyes. Clearly done as it suits him to be on a bigger salary if we stay up (or would help his negotiations with another club who would probably increase it further), and we will get much more money selling him if we go down due to his longer contract. No lose on that one for either party. Not a chance he plays for Everton next year regardless of whether we stay up. Matt Law is a vile silly person.

No offence intended mate, but that bold section above is absolute cobblers.
On the hierarchy of blame they are well down the list, but they are on the list. IMO.

There's no question in my mind that the chasing out of Kenwright and the rest and the constant updates about how terrible the club is under them had an impact.

How could it not? It was a distraction the manager and players didn't need.

Sorry Dave, I’m not having it.

Apathy and inaction from us all as fans, for years have been a massive issue and aided and abetted our current turmoil - not the coming together of fans groups and individuals to try and make a difference by targeting those which can have the biggest immediate impact i.e. not moshiri, though his time will come.

The players just don’t care enough to let it bother them - they are all, in the main, spineless wasters.
