You dont make a bad situation worse though do you?

I've already stated that the actions of that lot in the grand scheme of things that got us to this point are low if you want to explain our impending relegation, but the atmosphere of disunity was purveyed from the new year onward.

That cant be denied.

And what was it all for in the end? Kenwright and his cabal are not going to survive this. Stay up, go down. He and his lot were/are almost gone.

I very much doubt I'm alone in my reservations and criticism of the loose confederation of social media groups who threw their weight behind that pitchforking campaign in the teeth of a relegation storm.
The support was split by Destination Kirkby. It never came back. It's Kenwright's living legacy.

It's so hard to know what to expect from a season down there I guess.

No idea what the squad will look like.
If it were a season I dont think this would be that hard to take. Humiliating, yes. But the likelihood is that this will be a long stay in the second tier (and hopefully no lower like City and Leeds endured).

If you're expecting me to contradict that then I wont.

But the situation was poisonous before that.

What happened in its wake was a campaign that sucked in the energy of thousands that should have been used elsewhere.

Last year showed how the coach welcome boosted the morale of the players. This time around (apart from last night) it went into a protest at seeing off a board of directors who cant even attend matches. That's how perverse the whole thing was.
The situation is not poisonous, there is a protest walking to the ground and that is that.

And the bus welcomes have not happended because Sean Dyche removed the players arriving together via coach. They arrive at the ground in the own car. I'd imagine that last night the club had ordered the first team to arrive by coach so that it gave the fans the chance to do a welcome, which they gracefully responded to, in numbers, yet again.

You are trying to create a narrative that is not there and its quite embarrassing; the atmosphere inside the ground, home or away, has not been changed.

I agree with that.

But the whole thing was a futile burst of energy for me. Why on earth do you waste time ousting a chairman who's effectively already gone? Why on earth is the real culprit someone they want to influence rather than get shut of?

The whole thing has never stacked up to me.

I think it will seem like the end of the world when it happens. I think the summer will be quite a miserable experience.

However, I am hoping once the season starts and we playing games every week it will be fine.

Still dreading that actual moment. Even though im 90% convinced its on its way. It will hurt like hell.
Monday night might just be the final nail.

It's not just about the match day activity it's the flame war with Kenwright in social media which then spread into the MSM.

How can the baiting of that character Kenwright when we're looking for stability for the club at a time of peril help?

So now you've changed your tune. The players are impacted by a few words on Twitter. Have a day off Dave, they probably get far more abuse from unhinged nobheads to care about a group calling out the poor running of this club.

I bet if these people where going after Moshiri you wouldn't be concerned, even though it is exactly the same situation.

And its utterly bizarre how you think that the whole "headlock" allegation, orchestrated by the club, did not changed the playing field.

It would at least make more sense.

Everton playing games of football will never make anything fine.

Don’t think we have a purple patch in us mate. All the other teams around us at least have attacking options. We have dcl and gray, the rest aren’t even worth bothering with.
Yeah exactly. I could understand the optimistic shouts that we’ll come good at various points earlier in the season, but not at this stage. Palace look a bit limp again but their little bounce has saved them. Villa were in danger at one stage but have smashed it. We started crap, had a crap middle of the season and are going out with a whimper.

Where’s your fighting spirit man?

You’ve given up

There’s 5 games left, it’s not over.
Yeah!!

Maybe if we all set off flares and sing and chant passionately, that’ll help the lads win a ga… oh.

It’s not up to us to have fighting spirit mate. We support a team that’s abysmal at football, managed by a guy at about the same level. We’re in the bottom 3 with 5 games to go and don’t look like scoring 3 more this season, let alone winning 3 more.
