The winner on monday will be, out of two crap teams, the one with leaders, and grim determination.A draw wont be enough. We must play Mina at the back hopefully Coleman.

Yeah!!

Maybe if we all set off flares and sing and chant passionately, that’ll help the lads win a ga… oh.

It’s not up to us to have fighting spirit mate. We support a team that’s abysmal at football, managed by a guy at about the same level. We’re in the bottom 3 with 5 games to go and don’t look like scoring 3 more this season, let alone winning 3 more.
Yep. It is all a total disaster but it is not being defeatist it is just being logical. Yes we could stay up but based on all evidence it seems relegation is inevitable.

Relegation has been years in the making. It comes officially, if it comes, in a moment, a second in time.

People will need time to adapt but they will. I can handle the football aspect, but I'm going to steer clear of the financials. There's too much of the apocalypse in that for me.

It really is time for the board to go now. Nothing will change for the better until that happens. But I'll still get behind the team.

5 games to go, 2 points from safety. Everyone just given up? Nowhere near over yet. We’ve been in far worse and still survived.

If we can get to the final day and still have a chance to stay up by beating Bournemouth at home then I wouldn’t put it past us.

Yeah we obviously could go down, we’re not playing well, but some of the meek acceptance of this and in some places even gleeful ‘I told you so’ is quite honestly embarrassing

I agree with that.

But the whole thing was a futile burst of energy for me. Why on earth do you waste time ousting a chairman who's effectively already gone? Why on earth is the real culprit someone they want to influence rather than get shut of?

The whole thing has never stacked up to me.
There have been many, many occassions when I believe his position untenable and you think he'll 'do the right thing' and go, resign on ill health whatever, to give him a face saving out. But the bugger never does.
Most believe he needs forcing out by any means necessary.
Most believe him to be primarily responsible.
His last missive was borderline Colonel Kurtz.
Can't think of Kenwright ever as 'already gone'. Too dangerous. He has too much previous.

A overhaul left for Kompany to do from top to bottom. It panned out without expectations

We won't do that. Wed be expected to come back up. Which is the scary thing.
Exactly rinse and repeat in the championship. Finish outside the playoffs sack the manager. Next season finish 10th sack the manager....then finish 15th sack the manager....repeat repeat to oblivion. Its seems the everton way at present.

It's not 'meek' acceptance. People are not daft. No one wants relegation obviously and what might happen to the club in the likely event of relegation is potentially catastrophic.

Look at the table and the results and the form and the horrendous lack of goals and the often abject surrender.

They are truly terrible and its only luck that will ensure they finish fourth last .... nothing else.

Of the five game left what's needed? Two wins and a draw? Bloody hell that's Everest. It's not happening. They are relying on far too much luck to avoid the inevitable.

Thank god someone else gets it

We could draw v Leicester Wolves Brighton and then beat Bournemouth on the last day. 34 points. It might not be enough but people are acting like we need to win 5 games to stay up. If we replicate the performance we did at Forest against Leicester but Docuoure doesn’t suicide ball us and they don’t whack their one chance in the top corner and we win are we still bailed on to go down?

People are far too short termism in football. 5 games, 15 points, is a lot of football, only takes one good performance or piece of luck for everything to change. Forest and Leicester have landed recent blows but maybe we have one left in us which could be critical.

I would absolutely take having to beat Bournemouth last game to stay now
