I would absolutely take having to beat Bournemouth last game to stay now

Why not though? We’ve shown we can take points v Spurs Chelsea Palace Forest, there’s points there for us in the final few games undoubtedly.

If the players completely and utterly implode then that’s one thing and we’ll got certain go down but put in performances anything close to what we did at Forest Chelsea or Palace and we’re competitive in most of those games except City.

Just get to the final day still in touch and pray for some last magic

5 games to go, 2 points from safety. Everyone just given up? Nowhere near over yet. We’ve been in far worse and still survived.
We can't average a point a game, so with 5 games to go, we will probably only manage 2, 3 if we're lucky and then we have to hope the teams above us get 0 in 5, when have we been in worse where our top scorer only has 5 goals ?

No totally agree somehow we need to at least have a fighting chance on the last day 🤞🤞

Have you watched us in the last 2 months?

If we can get to the final day and still have a chance to stay up by beating Bournemouth at home then I wouldn’t put it past us.

Yeah we obviously could go down, we’re not playing well, but some of the meek acceptance of this and in some places even gleeful ‘I told you so’ is quite honestly embarrassing
4 games to go really as we can forget Man City at home,no way we are stopping Haaland and co. They won't have title won by then either.

Do you knows really upsetting though? We can’t even move into a new amazing stadium which we have wanted for 30 years, without the very real spectre of relegation hanging over us….we don’t win trophies any more so a new stadium was a cause for excitement and hope, but the board can’t even f**king do that right…..the bunch of self serving gobsh*tes.

Shocking take tbh Dave, I’m not sure what or how you’ve come up with this.

We’ve been silent for far too long, and now when we’re part of the problem for standing up and wanting better?

Behave.

It's not shocking, it's a balanced assessment.

I know how much I blame the protests - not nearly as much as other things that have caused this plunge toward the Championship. Nevertheless the timing of it has transformed the atmosphere around the club and not in a useful way. That cant be denied.

And no, there's nothing wrong with standing up demanding better. But if you're going to do that and you;re claiming you represent all Evertonians you better take the whole support with you. I agree with their demands and objectives but the staregy has been appalling. They sowed the seeds of that by keeping the messaging in the hands of one or two people as far as I'm aware. You cant have that sort of dictation. Tweets and messaging are no replacement for a democratic agreement reached over demands and the timing of their issuing. That's been one of the most eye-catching features of this group: they are like no other Everton fan group of the past in terms of how they operate. It's flattened out - which is ok at times - but you need a hierarchy and a structure to avoid the type of utter garbage seen in the last few weeks between the group and Kenwright.

I maintain we will stay up, but if the worst happens you wonder how long we could be outside the premiership for.

You look at an ex prem good sized clubs like Portsmouth who have been in league one for 6 years now getting 20,000 crowds still. You have other big clubs like Sheff Wed, Charlton, Derby etc.

Obviously we'd be the biggest to fall but there's no reason to say we wouldn't drop further than the championship.

It's absolutely imperative we stay up. Relegation is never the answer.

Don't believe that crap. Mind you, the Newcastle fans were really nasty last night, both inside the ground and outside afterwards. The gloating chants about us going down were uncalled for. We have sent a few teams down in my time but I have never ever gloated at someone's footballing tragedy.
I understand why other fans would gloat though as much as it is sickening. We have been an ever present in the PL and have done the square root of F.A and have been circling the drain for a couple of years - we are an easy target because of the way the clowns in charge of the circus have managed us
