There have been many, many occassions when I believe his position untenable and you think he'll 'do the right thing' and go, resign on ill health whatever, to give him a face saving out. But the bugger never does.
Most believe he needs forcing out by any means necessary.
Most believe him to be primarily responsible.
His last missive was borderline Colonel Kurtz.
Can't think of Kenwright ever as 'already gone'. Too dangerous. He has too much previous.
That's the bit I've been questioning.

You just cant afford to do that in the situation we are in.

I appreciate that…just looking at it from a footballing perspective as opposed to a business / financial perspective which at least allows some glimmer of hope through but you’re right - there is a real financial risk but this can be mi I used with the help of parachute payments if we minimise the period of time in the Championship to a season or two maximum.
I wish I could be that positive. This club is so badly run that if we go down it seems to me that a lengthy stay in the lower reaches and financial oblivion is more likely than a quick return. I am currently in the depression phase of grief at the moment, however, and may be being overly gloomy.

On the hierarchy of blame they are well down the list, but they are on the list. IMO.

There's no question in my mind that the chasing out of Kenwright and the rest and the constant updates about how terrible the club is under them had an impact.

How could it not? It was a distraction the manager and players didn't need.
The fans didn’t fabricate stories about a headlock and leak it to the national press.

No matter what happens this season the fact that none of those Charlatans will ever set foot in goodison of a match day is well overdue for what they have done to this once great club.

It’s difficult mate, I’ll be honest it’s been a few years since I’ve been the match for a number of reasons but I love the club, and always feel for the guys that actually go the match and is part of their life/weekend ritual every couple of weeks so I feel for you and others that feel the same. I’m 49 now and this will be potentially the first time it has happened, so I am trying to ready myself and look for any positives I can draw upon but yes it’s a difficult situation to manage mentally.

I'm a shade younger so it's the same for me. I was a season ticket holder in the 90s, so I've lived the bad times but this feels different because of the financials now. Honestly think it's possible that we don't exist in a couple of years time.

The 90's were horrible, but we always had a few heros like Dunc. This team has none(apart from Coleman, not his fault he's getting old). I am honestly not bothered if the whole first team leave in the summer.

Equally we can't afford to do nothing.
If we just allowed things to carry on, say we sirvive, what then? How do you protest close season? How do you co ordinate a campaign?
Catch 22. And it's how the fraud has survived many many times.

When / if we get relegated I could have no objection to them pushing for the board's formal resignation, because we're all singing from the same hymnsheet then.

I'd still be asking why they're not demanding that the architect of this catastrophe be removed, though.

I agree with @Villa_Fan - there too much value to be had in the institution and brand of Everton FC, so private investors would be queueing up if the price is right - we also saw what happened with LFC when they wanted rid of Hicks and Gillett and whilst I don’t think we are in the same sphere regarding protection, they would protect us to a degree so I don’t fear for the existential future of the club.

I do however have some anxiety of whether we become another Blackpool or Preston. Teams that had their glory years in the past that now only survive in lower divisions. We could arguably become another Tranmere if there is a generational exodus of the fan base to the RS.

When I walk around the city I tend to see their shirts, not so many in blue. The cause for hope with the right investor / buyer is Man City….a traditionally big, if not successful club who went as low as the third division around 20 years ago, who have become resurgent with the right (and excessive) investment.

We have had an owner with no money, then an owner with some money but no clue…what’s the phrase? ‘All the gear, no idea’. We can now see why Arsenal rejected them.

I never thought I'd see it.

I was at the Wimbledon and Coventry games and going behind to Wimbledon was the only time I thought I would before this moment.

It'll be harder to handle now than if it happened in the early 90s because the gap has become massive between the two leagues.

We really are staring into the abyss.
Remember them both well.

And I agree. This would be harder to stomach. The thing keeping me going is that if we win Monday we go out of it. It’s so tight.

Its hard to enjoy Friday when we lose 4-1 on Thursday
Yes I see that but;

Where’s your fighting spirit man?

You’ve given up

There’s 5 games left, it’s not over.

What I find astonishing is when we had limited Funds and you look at the team under Martinez in the 1st season we had Baines Coleman Distain, Jagielka, Stones,Oviedo, Hibbert, Barkley. Barry, Jimmy Mac, Osman, Lukaku, Mirrallas, Deloufeu and Peinaar. None of the players in the current team would get in ahead of these players. When I try to look at it objectively I’m staggered by the level of recruitment at our club in the last 7 years. I don’t think you could do worse if you was actively trying to derail the club.
