Been saying the same thing for months. We started saying it when we were outside the bottom three but were scared of being dragged in.

Now we're in and a loss tomorrow will very likely be the killer blow. We will not, as poor as they are, go to Wolves and win, especially after losing yet another must-win game tomorrow.

All but relegated with 4 games left - as embarrassing as it gets.

The board ultimately need to take the blame, but these players cannot come out of this season with their heads held high. The goals return from supposed attacking players has been absolutely pitiful and the likes of Maupay, Iwobi and Gray ought to be ashamed of themselves, whilst the likes of Onana and Gueye need to seriously consider their future playing positions as they've proven time and time again this season that they belong nowhere near the opposition's box.

The board take 80% of the blame as they've assembled a Championship squad and asked it to play in the Premier League.

But you cannot tell me that teams such as Brighton, Fulham and Brentford, largely made up of no-marks with the odd genuinely quality player amongst them, are THAT much better than Everton to a man.

Pickford, Tarkowski (Brentford have his former Burnley partner Ben Mee doing overhead kicks in their game yesterday), Onana, Garner, Gueye (who was playing every week with Messi and Neymar last season), Mina, Lewin (he'll have ended up playing a quarter of the season) - if you cannot build a reasonably solid team around that core then you've seriously failed as a manager or coach. Both Lampard and Dyche habe miserably failed.

So I put 80% on the board, probably the other 15% on the managers and the rest on the players for not even putting up a fight. They've been kin pathetic.

Not for me. I think they squad is a mismatch of players for different systems that can't play as a team. Zero composure or ability to pass the ball well for spells.

Ancelloti knew that and played conservative defensive football. That was always the benchmark for that side.

We cannot attack and defend as a unit. It's one or the other.

It’s great that Forest got beat yesterday but I’m still not particularly hopeful….they are still 3 points better off than this time last week having played two games more because they score goals which can win games. Despite their loss Yesterday and the manner of it, they have still averaged 1.5 points per game since Last week (I know they had a terrible run prior to that) whereas I have zero confidence we can win a match but we shall see. I tell you what though, if we do stay up, there should be none of those ‘jubilant’ scenes from last year, it should trigger one huge on pitch protest after the final whistle. This season has been disgusting and made more so because of the same situation last year, and the prior years it crap we have had to suffer. Honestly any future fit and proper persons test should be renamed the ‘Moshiri Kenwright test’

Forest have one winnable match left, next week against S'ton at home.

That's as easy as it gets for any of us, them or Leeds.

If they fail to win that I can see whem staying on 30/31 points.

Leeds are in the same boat with this game today. I see that as their best chance of points.

If we can get even just one win before the final day to keep us in touch with those two so they have to win to stay up we'll have an advantage over them.

We could also do with City rattling in about 8 against Leeds next week to turn GD in our favour with them as well as Forest.

Unfortunately it would appear that is the failings of our rivals that are allowing us to hope - not Everton
That's form you're talking about. Form in the last few games dropped due to first team players being absent. As I understand it they'll all be back from tomorrow onward. And when we had that settled team earlier in the run in we were picking up a good amount of points.

I don’t care how, one or two spawny wins will do it.

We just can’t fall behind in any game to have a chance
The problem is our defence has to be air tight, because if we do concede it becomes an uphill struggle to even get a point, we are the lowest scorers in all four divisions- I’ve tried to remain resilient in the face of the impending crisis, but have crossed that threshold now into pessimism because 1) I am now looking at it realistically based on the last 5 games or so and 2) I am managing the amount of disappointment and anger I will feel if It happens

5 points is doable. Draws at Leicester and Wolves and win against Bournemouth.

A point away is the height of expectation for this team.

A win tomorrow night moves the dial but I just don't see it, and I think it's feasible we lose one of the games against Leicester/Wolves.

I see four points for us which will not be sufficient.

I'll restate this: besides our own fixtures, obviously, I dont think theres two more important fixtures in the remainder of this season for us than today's game for Leeds at B'mouth and Forest's home game against S'ton next week.

Even if Everton lose against Leicester tomorrow, if those two fixtures dont bear 3 points for either I can see us getting (at the least) the chance of a final game opportunity to get a win and safety. I just dont fgancy Forest or Leeds in any of their other games they have left.

We’ve seen this before though with Everton - settled 11 has decent run, sustains injuries and / or hits a run of games against so called bigger opposition, but then once back and fit, or once that sequence of games is finished, the results and form continue - it seems to take Everton a long time to then recover…..we don’t have that time. I appreciate Newcastle are third, but they are not all that, just a functional team. We had a night game at Goodison, a initially vocal attendance, with a desperate need to get points (not even going to talk about Fulham) and we come away with nothing and a -3 worse goal difference. The goal they scored from Isaaks run was just a complete joke and as some pundits have called it - embarrassing. I just do n9t share your optimism but hope I am wrong
