...or, we play two teams under pressure to win them to get Europe/win the title and then 2 teams with their flip flops on.

You pays your money and you takes your choice, I suppose...
Pretty sure we've played teams with their flip flops on the last few seasons and lost to them. Nearly the same with Palace as well.

Defo think we will win final game if we get to it, and have to win to stay up. the wolves game a week earlier is a little iffy to me, everyone acts as though they wont be bothered and they will be on the beach etc, but they will want to win to send fans home happy with it been the final home game for them

Wanting to send the fans home happy vs staying in the league isn’t even comparable though, in terms of incentive.

You’re not going to risk a 50/50 tackle just to make the fat lad in seat 15A clap you.

Forest, Leeds and Leicester could realistically all get just another three points each. If we get the optimistic four points from the remaining games it will put four teams on 34 points, so goal difference.... that should see Forest down with Southampton and it may all come down to us needing to improve by one goal on Leeds in the run in to stay up.

So a point at Wolves and beat Bournemouth at home last day. I’d take that.

We only have Leeds to fret about on Saturday with their City matchup, before "Super Monday" sees the other 4 in action. I am not counting WHAM as they already have 34pts - which some on here feel would be enough to keep us up. A point or 2 from 4 games sees them very safe.
It will be nice to have less bum squeeking through the weekend!

I don't see a scenario where West Ham drops, but I do see a potential scenario where they haven't mathematically clinched safety going into MW37. At that point they're playing Leeds/Leicester in a de facto playoff. Everton still needs to show up and potentially beat Wolves and Bournemouth but I like the idea of our relegation rivals having to face off with each other, letting us focus on our games.

We checked off one of their 'winnable games' (and one of their home fixtures), so yes, although we didn't advance on them points wise we scored a victory of sorts over them, extended our lead over S'ton to 5 points and narrowed the gap to Leeds and Forest to 1 point.

We play two teams with something still to play for, followed by two teams who will be playing with very little pressure. 4 points is very optimistic imo but not impossible, 2 points is a more realistic expectation and with that I think we're down.

2 points isn't even realistic. The majority of people will have us down for 0 points out of 6 from Brighton and City and who can blame them? No win in 7 and 1 away win all season.

What keeps us going is that in football you just never know.
