Yes, for 'sure'.

I suppose my point is that it's within reason to wonder if Leicester and Leeds get more than another point...and that is a very reasonable question IMO.

My optimistic view is that in all likelihood another point does it: as that will force Leeds to get more than 3 points and it'd overhaul Forest, as I cant see them getting another point.
I agree. Fair chance 32 points is already ok but I wouldn't want to rely on West Ham having to avoid defeat at Leicester in order to stay up.

Aye that puzzles me that mate. Is there anyone instigating it?

I wouldn't want to rely on 33 points either, but I'm starting to really believe that 34 is going to be a safe points total for us.

I mean, some other club or clubs might do a 'spectacular' like we did against Brighton, but for my money only Everton are capable of such a display out of the teams down there.

Agree

Where the Toffees are concerned my glass, for the past couple of seasons and principally because of the board, has been less than half full. I don't want to be reliant on other results on the last day of the season. For me the ideal scenario would be 7 out of the remaining nine points but that's a big ask giving the current form of the remaining three. Would I be optimistic in hoping for three point from the remaining games?

I think there is some of that but some others that are so stressed out by the situation that the only way they can cope is by expecting the absolute worst. Every contribution they make is framed in that context.

If you expect nothing (other than a negative outcome) then you can't be disappointed. It's the hope they can't handle.

I'm slightly concerned about the state of worry about some members here in that respect. The level of anxiety and fretfulness is just unhealthy for something none of us have a shred of control over.
Yes, but they surely have to be aware that posting stuff like they do constantly is having an effect on other posters who do still believe.

It's childlike behaviour IMO.

Agreed

Some people on here are genuinely worried, and some are almost gleeful of the most negative scenarios panning out.

Stomach churning IMO
It's a tiny fraction of the posters here, but it has had a big impact. I for one dread reading their stuff if we get a defeat.

But I accept overall that the vast majority are trying to deal with the situation by reaching out for assurances that their worst fears wont be realised. I get that.

Well, our last 3 games have given is 4 points and we played Brighton and Palace away and Newcastle.

City and B'mouth at home and Wolves away shouldn't be seen as tougher than those.

I think we get 2 for sure, probably 3 or more.
