Forest have goals and fight in them. 12 goals and 7 points from last 5 games and in those games they've had Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea, Liverpool and Forest. Their main striker has 4 goals in the last 2 games, and now they're coming up against a moral-sapped Arsenal and a Palace side where you'd say they're likely to be somewhere between not bothered at all and ready to go on holiday.

Everton and Leeds for me, with them having the slight advantage due to the fixture list.

Bournemouth won 4 on the spin against us (I think), and we'll find out if that Brighton game, as I fully expect, was just a completely freak result.
?

To be honest probably everyone would have taken this position before we kicked a ball against Leicester. That was looking like a game where if we lost we’d be down.

If you’d said after that we’d have 3 points from Brighton and City

Leicester would have lost heavily to Fulham

Leeds would have 1 point from City and Newcastle

And we were still outside the relegation zone with two games to play

I think most would have taken that position if offered at that time. Forest picking up 4 points is annoying but we could very easily still be sat here on 28 points needing 2 wins to have any chance of staying up.

Pickford saving that penalty was huge.

If that goes 3-1 at half time it's a very big ask to get a draw. In that scenario wouldn't have even been above Leicester still winning at Brighton given the GD of theirs is still much better so it would've been both on 32 points with them having an extra game to get some points from.

Looking more likely by the week that two seasons running Pickford has made a save in early May that will save the club 100s of millions.

I find it strange to want Liverpool to win a game, but if they do it won't have been a bad weekend for us at all.

Our last half dozen fixtures have been the most difficult of any team fighting relegation but ironically our last two fixtures are probably easier than those of the other teams fighting for survival.

We are also playing well and the game against City needs to be discounted as they are just freakishly good and we actually didn't play badly against them at all.

Hopefully, DCL is fit enough to play next week .

Is this allowed, to pick up points by playing yourself, and if so why are we not doing so ?
I blame the board for this as well.

Can’t have been many games not involving us that’ve meant more to us than tonight (although probably more to come).

A Leicester win and we are back in real difficulty- if they win you’d back them to get to 36 with their home against West Ham to finish, and with no path to 37 we’d have to win both to get to 38 to overtake them. Bit of a scary thought.

If Leicester win tonight, I think, on balance, we will drop.

There are still pathways to safety (two draws could potentially overhaul Forest and stay above Leeds), but a Leicester win will, if nothing else, clarify what we need to do on Saturday. Win.

As Leicester prepare for a potentially pivotal match, it can also be revealed that the club’s players will have their salaries slashed by up to 50 per cent in the event of relegation.

After posting record pre-tax losses of £92.5 million earlier this year, some supporters have been fearing further financial pain with Leicester’s squad not having relegation reductions in their contracts.

However, the clauses are believed to be between 35 and 50 per cent for all players and it is normal procedure for the majority of Premier League clubs.

“Normal procedure.” Why do I feel we haven’t got this clause for our players?

We can't be relegated next weekend but if results fall in the right way we can be free of relegation .

So many on here convinced we are going to be relegated even though our chances of staying up are improving each weekend.

Liverpool need to win this game for themselves, not us. If they don't they have no hope of top four . They could not have more motivation if they tried.

I see people think that Forest getting something from playing Arsenal is more likely than us getting some off of Wolves or that Leicester can get something at Newcastle .
I think Forest may well be one of the teams to go as I think they may finish on 34 points.

Oh yeah this is the one fixture of the eight I have absolutely no doubt on. The PL are close to their holy grail of having United and Liverpool back in the CL and even relegating Everton doesn’t come higher than ensuring the establishment teams are where they need to be.

Tonight will end up the way we need it to by hook or by crook. I’d be more worried for the Newcastle Leicester game, as Newcastle will have to be outstanding to get past a set of officials who will be trying to tilt the playing field against them at any opportunity (as Hooper was doing for Leeds)

I’m hoping we get a mini boost from tonight, take it into the Wolves game and have points on the board before Lecister even kick off v Newcastle. That would be a decent position to be in, especially if Moyes has done us a favour v Leeds.
What a strange conspiracy cat you are. Chill out amigo
