Goodison will rise to the occasion that day and carry the team to victory.
Seen in black and white, my statement above may seem like a romantic offering but I've been steadfast in my belief in that's what will happen.
It's too much for me to accept that results will go our way over the weekend guaranteeing us safety.
I'm convinced we will need to win that game, and win it is what we'll do.

can’t we before it mate please i’m guna be in A & E

….just looking ahead at the odds (Hills) for this weekends games, remembering we were 8-1 for both of our last two matches;

Wolves v Everton; H 13/8 D 12/5 A 13/8
Forest v Arsenal; H 9/2 D 7/2 A 8/15
W Ham v Leeds; H 13/10 D 13/5 A 19/10
Newcastle v Leicester; H 4/11 D 9/2 A 13/2

i don’t get odds

Hi Lads, first time poster and 50 years West Ham fan . Just wanted to clarify (from experience of watching Moyes thru our European games).......what he will do on Sunday against Leeds. Take it from me, regardless of the result on Thursday night v AZ, he will play an extremely strong team v Leeds. If not his absolute strongest. It will be nothing like the one v Brentford. .....And to add to this, also a bit of positivity that you will not know about. The last home game of EVERY West Ham season is seen as a celebration, a big event ....so much so that in our last 24 (last home games of the season)...we have only ever lost 3. And just to point out that since Leeds got promoted to the PL , West Ham have really had their number.....Only losing once home or away. They are a team we really like to play....and the Allardyce style will actually help us, we also hate Allardyce too. But essentially the team picked will be very, very strong.....what I can't account for is the teams state of mind after Thurs......A win on Thurs will make Sunday a big celebration......and Leeds won't handle that. So, all the best and don't worry, we will try. Moyes does still like and admire Everton. And just to add, Moyes biggest success this season at WHU has been beating teams in and around us. His record in such games is excellent. Cheers all...and thanks for reading.

Thanks for that mate.

The main problem on here, is that there is a core of posters, who for some reason only known to themselves, have spent all season building Leeds up to be the 1970`s Brazil team and also Allardyce as some kind of wonder manager, who has only made them better.

This is despite them being a point behind a truly dreadful Everton team, conceding goals for fun and having a goal difference worse than ours ( which is some doing )

I honestly think some of them, would be happy if Leeds stayed up, just so they could carry on creaming their kecks ( scouse for trousers ) over them.

….basically the bookie thinks we have the same chance of winning as Wolves do. Arsenal are strong favourites to win at Forest, Newcastle are even stronger to beat Leicester. They have the Leeds game closer but make West Ham favourites to win.
Cannot see Leicester pulling a rabbit out of the hat at Newcastle - its Newcastles last home game of a special season for them. Only a gutsy grind performance from Leicester could take the shine off it and I dont think Leicester do gutsy grinding.
Leeds at WHam could be a draw.
Forest could get a draw with the Arsenal too.
We really do have to win at Wolves, period!
Everyone talked about 5 or 6 cup finals - this one actually is it.

you think it’s a last day job?
I've thought that to be the case for weeks.
The one blindingly unforeseen event was the Brighton result.
Before that, I had us needing to beat Bournemouth just to be in the mix should other teams falter.
Now it's shaping up to be a case of win, and we're safe.
Whilst all thoughts are on what's going to happen in the near future, I cannot rid my memory of the recent past and the home games against Wolves and Southampton. Just imagine if we had drawn those games instead of gifting them three points.

The Brighton result as good as it was, was a massive shock, even just for the win never mind the score line. The reason for this is we’ve had so few wins all season.
For this reason I don’t expect us to win our next 2 games.

Let’s just hope the teams around us remain as equally poor and don’t choose now as a time to get one of their rare wins and hope a point or 3 will be enough.

Don't be surprised if Leicester win those final two games v Newcastle and West ham to get to 36 points, everyone has them gone but nobody gave us a prayer away at Brighton.
Newcastle are not invincible (as Villa showed in a 3-0 win) and the pressure is on them with RS breathing down their necks,I still expect some odd results yet.

I predicted the outcomes of the last 6 games for us, Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Leicester and Leeds. Not scores, just win lose or draw. So far I've got 10 wrong and 10 right... Lots of weird things have happened so far and can continue to happen...
