Same attitude and tempo as Brighton away I don’t see why we can’t beat Wolves
I see Brighton as a much superior team to Wolves, so there is no reason that we shouldn't be able to beat them. Whether or not that Everton side can replicate that performance will be the issue. They haven't done it all season, but it is so important now.

I think I read somewhere that we're the club with the longest record of fans having nothing to celebrate in the entire league pyramid.
That includes leagues, cups, and promotions.

I remember listening to the guardians 'football weekly' years ago, when moyes was still in charge and Barry Glendening (yeah, I know) saying what were Everton for. We consistently finished 7th or 8th at the time.

I remember Everton fans applauding Kenwright against Villa around the same time and being almost heart broken. I'd been reading posts by people on kipper (particularly Billy Bullens if memory serves) raging against the board, trying to sound the alarm bells of stagnation and neglect but it turns out the vast majority of Everton fans didn't seem to care.
No matter what happens, in two weeks there'll be some protests in the Gwladys but most of the stadium will shuffle home and grumble, maybe wonder if Sean Dyche will sign Ashley Barnes and Shay Adams in the Summer

And the needle returns to the start of the song
And we all sing along like before.
And we'll all be lonely tonight and lonely tomorrow...

Brighton far superior, but also nothing like Wolves. Not sure the same gameplan will necessarily work against Wolves. But I'd like to think we will out-fight and have the desperation to win the match to hopefully carry us over the line.

Only my take on it but wolves wont play like brighton. First half brighton pushed their fullbacks so high it fell into Evertons hands on the counter. I dont see wolves doing that. There wont be that kind of space. Also, maybe an unpopular opinion but i feel brighton thought they could just turn up and win that game. It took 45 minutes of a hard lesson to prove that no matter how good you think you are attitude counts a lot. 2nd half they upped it and we hardly got out of our own half. That game could have been 2-3, 3-3 at some stage.

Given Evertons away form over a few seasons it was a bit of a freak result. I thought leicester was more a true reflection. We played ok. We fought well but before we knew it we were 2-1 down when we really shouldnt have been. Lucky not to be 3-1 just before half time. The defence for wolves looks a concern now. Either holgate or keane look like they have to play. And obviously calvert lewin.
Saying all that. Attitude again comes into it. Big big game for this club. Everyones got to be on it.

Wolves press a lot. I dont expect that'll change much. They'll get in our face. Of late they've followed an away loss up with a home win, so it's a daunting challenge.

First goal will be immense here. And that's the key: they dont score a lot - they've scored 2 less than us, in fact.

Get our noses in front and I doubt we lose at any rate.

But how will Dyche set us up, to preserve a 0-0 draw, I wonder or snatch a goal and defend for 80 mins. I cannot see him setting it up to go all out and hit Wolves, that is not his style.

It’s like saying to a basketball fan that a load of people round the world don’t know who the Boston Celtics are because they won the majority of their titles in the 70s and 80s. Do you think any of their fans would give one?
When the topic is professional sporting teams, don't underestimate the hair-trigger touchiness of the residents of Boston, Massachusetts.
